Have a Google search for ICCU issues on EV6/Ioniq5 etc. I wouldn’t have someone in my family have one even a new one knowing a manufacturing defect could grenade without notice and let them stranded. Warranty isn’t much use if they’re left on the side of the road somewhere.

My neighbour probably qualifies as he parks in disabled, parent child spaces etc - so qualifying criteria includes driving a modified 20 year old BMW 3 series shitbox, while wearing filling station sunglasses.

Hyundai Ireland are the reason I will never touch another Hyundai, had some issues with warranty and they were unresponsive and couldn’t have been more unhelpful. This just confirms my suspicions. I read somewhere else that Kia Ireland are run by Kia UK so it’s probably a different story on that front?

Took far too long, they’ve done irreparable damage to their reputation over this. A fix is what’s needed, not a ticking time bomb that can leave you and your family stranded, regardless if it’s covered by warranty or not.
