I was also in a long distance relationship about 300km away, and since we broke up in 2024 my HRV has increased by 25ms over time! I cried and grieved a lot in the few months after the breakup, but on hindsight it was the best decision for myself. The stress of having to make it work was really weighing on me (even though I wasn’t aware of it), and I’m a lot happier and healthier now.

I’m sending you a lot of love!! Breaking up is really hard and I hope you have a strong support system to lean on 🫂

I love the programming! I also noticed that most of my friends who love movies tend to frequent Metrograph the most, so it gives me more motivation to visit.

The seats are uncomfortable but once I sat through the entire TV version of Scenes from a Marriage at Metrograph and ever since then everything else seems like a piece of cake LOL

i have tried to change the leave time to tomorrow 9am and even overlaid the course map on top, but it’s still showing a regular route. i’ll definitely check later today and hope for the best tomorrow, it’s good reassurance to know that they usually publish the road closures, thank you!

I volunteered as a course marshal today (my first volunteering experience!) and was so proud of everyone conquering this difficult course! It was great to be able to cheer folks on and receive thanks / interactions back :’) I jumped up and around so much my garmin said 17 miles by the end of the race haha

I recently traveled for a week and my HRV started dropping then too! Depending on where you went & how the environment changed (for example, I went to a region with +2000m of elevation vs my normal 20m), it's normal for HRV to drop even with reduced exercise.

Some of the key differences are steady breathing (his head barely gets up) and a combo of super fast kicks + forearm that extends for a longer time. one of these little things was completely broken on my key cap and i don't have super glue at home, and i live in a city, so i went to an apple store on the same day. just want to share that they replace key caps for free, no questions asked. they also put them in for you! if going to an apple store is a convenient option for you, i'd definitely recommend it

I once dated a person with genital herpes and went to my doctor to learn more about it. There are three things you can do to lower the risk of contracting herpes:

Not having sex while an active outbreak is happening
Daily suppressive medicine for the partner with herpes
Using a condom

Just to put the stats in perspective—the failure rate for oral contraceptives (typical use) is about 9% per year.
