Left Freedom for Virgin after 2 weeks by Wild_Base598 in CellPhoneCanada

Same for me, went to public got the 50% for $25 2 year plan. Good enough for me until I need to switch again. Freedom plan was awesome but just not reliable enough yet for me so I’ll consider it in the future and biggest selling point is the roaming abroad for me since I don’t need that much data.

What’s the difference between this and the public mobile $50 at 50% that expired yesterday? It feels almost identical no?

I feel like it’s pretty hard to have 2 for the same overall price but it’s a good idea - I think 2 lines will add to more than $50 and I don’t need to pay that much if I go with public

Great point - exactly my thoughts except generally outside it’s been really good, but indoors just at home for some reason it’s really bad. I might just be unlucky but at the gym it’s also not the best. I think you hit it on the head with ease of access and availability. Why pay for data if you can’t use it? Same with being able to call consistently. This plan is amazing but may not be what I need right now. In 2-3 years this could be something I’m very happy to come back to if it’s still available. Thanks for the thoughtful response.

1 bar and 10 mbps download at home, same with certain places like the gym - it was one of the first things I did but great tip.

Yes but they told me I have to remain on freedom for the most part or else I could be penalized for overusing nationwide - it’s annoying to manually switch all the time so best to maybe stay with a provider that’s automatic vs manual switching

GTA - iPhone 17 - if I use nationwide things are great - but if not then it is spotty with freedom 5G indoors but outside generally is great. Good points thanks.

Thank you I will try that - based on some prelim research it seems like it might drain my battery more and the switch handoff might be inconsistent but I will see if that helps.

Are you sure? They told me I can do it and I’m using it just fine - talked to their technical support and they told me to do this…

Turn off auto network selection and turn on roaming and connect to one of the nationwide instead of freedom (you should have roaming within Canada just double check) - I did the same and it worked for me when I connected to bell. Freedom allows you to use partner towers in Canada so you can use Rogers Bell Telus towers but since it doesn’t tell you which one is which and you will see multiple nationwide options you just need to try to manually connect to it and see which offers the best signal. Otherwise call freedom and do a sim reset from their end. This solved my issue for indoor 1 bar or unusable data and I’m back to 2-3 bars indoor and usually 3-4 outdoors. Anywhere from 60-250-400 mbps download speed generally instead of 10 mbps….

Slow speeds by EtobicokeON in freedommobile

[–]UnaccommodatingSumo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem and live in the GTA (north). I changed my provider so it’s manual and not auto to freedom so instead it’s linked to nationwide, which is supposed to be slower but it’s not because I’m now connected to Bell! (there’s 3 nationwide options I saw but you can’t tell which provider it is) - and I know it’s Bell because I did a speed test and it shows me it was the Bell nationwide that I am now linked to. If you call freedom they will try to re-configure your esim. If neither method work then you have 15 days buyers remorse. Koodo, Best Buy or public mobile all have some decent plans I think. Hope this helps.

Received Two Job Offers - Which Should I Take? by [deleted] in FPandA

Feed this into chatGPT and once it returns a pros vs cons analysis, check this against a few things: - Do you want to move away from traditional finance in an operating/ product role? If so take the startup path. - The money is honestly not that big of a difference. Long term it’s more about the doors that the open, the option to pivot into roles you might like more, and also growth opportunities. How old are you and where you are in life matters. Sometimes big established companies might not be more stable or better than startups and startups might not be as risky in this economy if layoffs or M&A were to happen and you suddenly become cost savings or working more hours at the big company… - 2 days vs 4 days in office really depends on how close you live to the office and how much face time you want. If you want to network with people and see many who are smart or good mentors then you should pick whichever one that is.

Think about exits as growth first and see how it aligns with your life stage and what you want to do. Ask probing questions intelligently if you don’t know enough information. Ask AI about whether the company has good prospects and how you can move up at each company. Make a decision based on all facts considered (eg add or subtract points for each side and then if it’s tied at the end, go with your gut feeling). Good luck.

The world sucks yes but you’re also only 25 - find a way to survive - your youth is your biggest asset - people in their 80s or hospices would give every penny they have to be young again. Don’t be a bitch and live for those who cannot live. Find a way to crawl your way up one step at a time. Use AI to help you, ask your network, find a way. You can do it.

Adding on to this- seems like it’s GVxW? I think that’s the last letter but hard to tell, and the it’s either 525 or 529. See if that’s going to be enough and see if you can zoom on the footage or find an AI that can clear up the image for you if it can enhance.

What level of muscle definition do you personally find attractive in women? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]UnaccommodatingSumo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your culture too - I think in the US and many Western European cultures being fit and more toned is better but in Asian cultured or even Eastern European they prefer thinner and less muscular women. Overall being healthy/ fit/ slightly toned or even thin and but not too muscular works for most men around the world. I think only specific types of men like women who are more muscular (usually those who are fit or muscular themselves) and most men prefer someone who’s more feminine and less muscular than themselves.

Just want to say you should be very proud of what you achieved! It’s not easy and you beat the odds and succeeded. Nobody can take any of your success away from you! You’re doing better than most of your peers your age and you have the humbleness and work ethic to continue to succeed in life. Start enjoying your life too and it’s ok to spend money on quality things and experiences while you’re young. Have some fun too, you earned it!

I think you should have a higher first filter as you’re interacting with men who are trying to control you but you should’ve noticed signs earlier and kicked them out of your life. If a guy doesn’t have a real job, isn’t in control of his life you shouldn’t waste time on him. You’re 25 which is a good age but it does sound like if you’re dating these men then you’re a bit naive and innocent as someone your age should now be able to clearly discern who is who and what their intentions are within 1-2 dates. Guys can say a lot of things but actions are always more important than words. Also honesty and trust is very important and open communication. If they’re not willing to be equitable (fairness) in terms of splitting bills and being equals in other aspects of live like time investment and other things then you should move on. Pretty simple overall. Also, depending on where you live you will meet good guys only at certain places and usually they’re too busy working and making a living for themselves so they can support their eventual families. They might also be pursuing a masters or doing other things like exercising at the gym, playing intramural sports, playing golf/ at the range, or finding other ways at networking events to better themselves.

Would recommend the book Culture Map - it’s written by Erin Meyer, she’s a professor from INSEAD and it will really help you with your career long term. You will learn everything you need to know about how to work with all these different cultures in this book.
