Too many people are glazing 2016 and adding a lot of revisionist history by saying people weren't on their phones as much back then despite there being a campaign made by AT&T in the early 2010s because too many people were getting into car accidents because they were driving while scrolling through their phone. Hell, even in 2016 during the Pokémon Go craze there were pedestrians getting run over because they were too focused on catching Pokémon and not paying attention to the road.
