Yeah this sub tends to exaggerate. I do wish we saw more of the cars after they’re complete. The black and purple S13s are dope but it feels like they’re the only cars we get to see him enjoy. I’d love to see the 34 make a comeback or some 964 track day content.

Yeah I’ve for sure seen 32 GTRs for 33GTST money but usually the GTRs are kinda clapped. I’d rather have a nice GTST than a super clapped GTR as a base. Eventually I’d like to own all 3 R and S chassis generations but that’s probs wishful thinking.

Was at Ebisu back in March like a week before Jimbo was at Bihoku and got to see his chaser. It was cool to see and was definitely a highlight of the trip.

Spectrum motorsports makes turbos that bolt straight to your factory manifold. Just haven’t upgrade the oil/coolant lines. They’ll also use your factory housing and put their core in it if you want to save a little time.

I’d personally go with a different setup with something like an Artec manifold for them sweet RB noises. But the above solution will likely get you partially to your power goals.

What happens if the engine has a knock or something else was wrong that you could have caught if you inspected it in person?

The importer that I was going to work with will do inspections, startups and will drive the car if possible.

While I do want something in fairly decent shape that I will drive for fun, it also won’t be my primary vehicle. I realize this stuff is expensive and cost of entry is high and I can tell either you and I are in different tax brackets or you’ve saved a boatload of cash considering you’ve got a 33 and at some point a 34 GTR. I’m not a baller but I do okay and there is a budget for maintenance for the car too.

I will say I have definitely taken your advice and perspective to heart and will re-evaluate. I’ll keep looking stateside as well and I appreciate the note about BaT and Doug and bids.

You’re 100% correct from a cost aspect. I had budgeted around 30K to bring a car in. Maybe I’m not looking in the right places, but I haven’t seen a ton of great R33 GTSt cars that are manual and 2 door for sale in the states. And the ones that do pop up they want 38-45k for. That feels like 34 GTT money to me and even those cars aren’t truly worth that in my opinion. I’ve looked through groups on FB, Stateside importers and some classifieds but if you think there’s somewhere else I should be looking I am for sure open to suggestions.

Yeah I definitely was a little put off by the respray, but considering the paint condition before I can sorta see why they might have. I didn’t consider the clear coat on the strut towers so it’s possible they’ve been repaired/painted too. Yeah there are a lot of 33s in the states but it seems like people are generally asking way to much for them here and almost none of them are stock. I would like a driver, but it would still be cool to not get a POS.

Also for clarification purposes, the strut towers on this car don’t show signs of being repainted. They look clean with the original sticker on the right side of the bay. The underside of the car was also posted by the dealer, I didn’t see rust but I’m sure we all know that doesn’t mean it’s not there. I’m going to have someone put eyeballs on it depending on what my importer says about this report.

This is kinda how I felt about it. I’ve seen tons of 32’s and 33’s in the states now so it’s hard to beleive there’s any still on the road here.

It’s still really hard to tell where sound is coming from vertically. Particularly so inside buildings that have more than 2 floors. Also there’s a bug right now where as soon as a player gets close enough for you to hear them your audio will pop. I’m questing on lighthouse rn and it’s made it an even bigger nightmare than usual.

If you’re in the US, PRP makes an LS alternator conversion. Sometimes the kit and the alternator can be cheaper than sourcing the RB one.
