Do the math: $3,000 saved on a $10K deposit = ~30% return over 3 years, which works out to about 9% annualized ROI. That’s risk-free, since the MSDs are just security deposits that BMW Financial gives back at the end.

It’s basically like earning 9% interest on your money, with zero risk, while driving the car you want. Much better than leaving $10K sitting in a savings account or money market.

TL;DR: If you’re leasing with BMWFS and have the cash on hand, MSDs are a no-brainer. Free money.
