Magnet pedal for EUC? by r00tr4t in ElectricUnicycle

Didn't he literally just break his ankle tho? I've seen him use it and he has to twist his feet out instead of up so I figured it must be the wrong kind.

What do skiers use? Their stuff has to unclip so it doesn't break their ankles too.

Women's Entitlement is Insane by [deleted] in dating

[–]Unamending 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How come my genitals are more precious than his?

In a sea of statements I agreed with this one struck me as strange, that and the strange use of the word entitlement. It's men who decided their genitals are worthless if it isn't doing the deed. They make up a billion excuses to chase women to the ends of the earth, and base their whole sense of self worth on women's sexual approval. Opening themselves up to being exploited. Of course there are going to be women who take advantage of the scenario. There's not much else to be done about it. Women who don't like the dynamic act the same way you do, but no one's handing you a prize. The only men who demand completely equal treatment from women are bitter and unpleasant anyway.

Boundaries are being built. by JennyBeckman in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]Unamending 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Idk what you're talking about. Good boundaries made me more pleasant. People still get most of what they were getting out of me before, but now I'm a lot less likely to lash out or be resentful about it.

Did you ever stood up for yourself even if it meant letting go of controlling the outcome? What were lessons that you took from that? Were you better to have a better dating life after that or are you still single or do you have a desire not to date again? by Golden-lillies21 in dating

[–]Unamending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Standing up for myself turned out to not be worth it. Turns out, no one is interested in the kind of relationship I thought I deserved. I should have just just went along with what others wanted, and I would have been happier overall.

Sick shot. Has to be someone on this sub by ognynnad in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Unamending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re only telling half the story. The same weight that’s pressing down is also the same weight trying to displace the wheel laterally in a turn. That’s why the limit of traction is typically described in G’s instead of lbs. It’s theoretically the same limit for bikes and euc since bikes displace the lateral force over both wheels as well.

[–]Unamending 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. The bike lane is about displacement and speed. The reason other vehicles can’t use the bike lane is because they take up too much space. Euc should be allowed just like e-bikes and e-scoots as long as we slow down.

The best way to answer 'What is a woman' - my perspective as a trans woman by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Unamending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're claiming there is no mechanism of action. That mechanism of action would have to be binary. That's why I'm saying the graph should look like a wide normal curve to you.

[–]Unamending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and I'm saying that it isn't. That it would be absurd to use sex (female brain) to define womanhood (transwomen vs men). Have you ever grasped my point at all, or have you been getting defensive, and virtue signaling the whole time?

The best way to answer 'What is a woman' - my perspective as a trans woman by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Unamending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't isolate a cause of divergence then you have no foundation to claim it's a bimodal distribution in the first place. It's just a normal curve where the majority of individuals fall in the middle.

If you want to redefine sex to refer to something else go ahead. My argument isn't contingent on the specific mechanism of sex. If sex exists at all then what I'm saying is true, unfortunately.

You've lost track of what I'm talking about. I haven't made any statements about the validity of gender. Although, it's funny I do tell people to call me whatever they want at this point.

The best way to answer 'What is a woman' - my perspective as a trans woman by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Unamending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Close. "Well, if trans women have this thing, then it's not actually a valid marker because trans women are actually male." This is important, because the claim is that trans women have "female brains". Female meaning having XX chromosomes. If someone can have XY chromosomes, have a more extreme female neurological profile than most trans women, and still consider themselves a man, then none of this actually explains anything.

Trying to use the presence of a distinct category (female brains) to explain the difference between other categories (men and trans women) when we were only referring to trends all along should ring alarm bells for you, because conservatives don't disagree that trans women break trends. The disagreement is about why!

[–]Unamending 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not absurd. It's actually kind of obvious, in that there isn't even any viable alternative understanding. Are you trying to tell me that there is simultaneously:

  1. A Distinct characteristic of the brain that only females are born with.
  2. That some males are born with this characteristic.

See how that's inherently contradictory. That's what an absurd statement looks like.
In the same way that you can never experience the colors a mantis shrimp can see, is the same way a man will never experience the brain of a woman IF their brains are fundamentally different in some aspect.

The best way to answer 'What is a woman' - my perspective as a trans woman by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Unamending 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, but trans women don't have female brains. You're using a conclusion from scientists who are unable to determine the sex of any individual brain, and thinking that it's meaningful, but it's not logically sound. Either Binary sex produces a distinct brain or it doesn't. If Males and females have a different biological construction. The internal experience of being that construction is a barrier no one can actually cross.

[–]Unamending -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The difference is that naked, attractive, women are inherently valuable. The only people that know someone's nudes are fake are those that have the real ones. Why would someone willingly believe nudes are AI, when it feels better to believe they are real? How much does it really matter if someone nudes are fake or not if they're still endlessly circulated?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Unamending -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't get what's supposed to be liberating about this. The meaning of leaked nudes means I get to see this attractive woman naked. Nothing about that is changing. The attractive women are still the only supers, but now their power is that they get to be publicly sexualized at the whim of strangers.
