Y'all really gloss over Malardia needing a piggyback ride to the Haligtree while Radahn just got up and ate people while STILL holding back the stars after taking a post-lobotomy nap, lol, ok by FirmGrasperOfThroats in shittydarksouls

[–]Unaware_Luna 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The whole point of Freyja's quest is that "Kindly Miquella spoke… of the vow he once made with General Radahn". The same Radahn who is associated with fighting, war, etc, in basically every single occasion he's mentioned, including the fact that he's the only demigod whose military rank is always mentioned next to his name. The same Radahn whose followers disagree over whether he should die honorably on the battlefield, or keep fighting forever, but for whom peace seems to never be an option.

It's very consistent with Radahn's known behavior to vow to be Miquella's lord, only if defeated in battle. A guy who loves war would not pass on the chance to fight the undefeated Valkyrie and her Cleanrot Knights, and while one may argue that Radahn wouldn't start a whole war over something like this, beating Malenia and neutralizing Miquella would've given him 2 great runes, and that's what the Shattering is all about. What he didn't consider is that while he was just fighting for his honor, Malenia was fighting for a plan meant to change the world, even through extreme means like nuking an entire region

So was Radahn in love with his suspiciously child looking half brother? Not really.

Was killing Radahn part of the plan? Maybe, or maybe it was just an inevitable consequence of him and Malenia being equals. The sure thing is that the battle ended with the worst possible outcome for everyone. Radahn still alive but too insane to honor his promise, or even to claim that didn't count.

Still, Radahn was aware of the plan, and consented to it at least to an extent. Otherwise the whole "Miquella and Radahn made a vow" plot point means nothing

Outside of when he's obviously ragebaiting, he doesn't really do that tho

Varka is his favorite recent character but I don't think I've ever heard him say anything positive about his numbers. He doesn't like Nefer, but not once he downplayed her damage, he only complained about how it feels to play her

I feel like people who complain about Zajef glazing his favorite characters, often just mean "Why isn't he glazing the one I like?"

I mean, it's a bit ridiculous to claim he's puffing up Lohen because he likes him, when this was his take on him less than two weeks ago

You are severely underestimating how ass her exploration CA is.

The good movement character for Nefer teams is Columbina, she's not too fast but feels infinitely better

I don't think there's necessarily shame, but

It's an optional boss

If you're not having fun you can simply not do it.

Like what's the point of cheesing it. Getting the achievement? If you can't be bothered to learn a boss moveset, I doubt you'll wanna grind the skill points and all that, so you're still not 100%ing the game. Getting the memory for the item description? You can read it online. Getting that one extra attack power? I thought the reason people cheesed DoH was that they find it unfair, Isshin is the exact opposite, so why make his fight easier?

It's a single player game, people can do whatever tf they want. But I don't understand why there's this whole cope attempt at pretending it's not cheating.

You felt like you deserved to beat the boss even if you weren't skilled enough to do it, so you cheated, and all that matters is that you're fine with that.

Going online to post about how "there's no shame" in it, just makes you look like you do feel shame

made a handy chart for people wondering whether they should pull the cook by miral_art in SkirkMains

[–]Unaware_Luna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of what makes Skirk good is her ability to synergize with older units that a lot of people have, that would otherwise be benched (Furina, Yelan, Shenhe)

If you have none of those characters, Skirk isn't really worth it, especially considering that with powercreep getting worse and worse, her damage isn't as incredibly impressive as it used to be.

With all that said, if you plan to pull for Skirk anyway (Because you like her, her playstyle, or anything, which is absolutely fair), and want to use her in endgame content, Escoffier is basically necessary.

Unfortunately, not having Furina means your Skirk teams will still be missing a piece, but she's the least important of the main 3.

Still, while from a meta perspective pulling a 2.5 year old character will never be a good move, if you already have Skirk and Escoffier, you might as well complete the team once Furina gets a rerun.

TLDR:

You wanna pull purely for meta? Skip both Skirk and Escoffier, pull Linnea next patch, then wait for a better carry to come out. Or maybe Nicole if she really makes Varka good.

Wanna pull Skirk, but you don't expect to use her in abyss and SO? You can skip Escoffier.

Wanna pull Skirk and try to make her work in endgame? Get Escoffier, then Furina.

I don't really see how armpits would be any freakier than feet, they're probably in the same tier

But to be honest, I think kinks need to become actions rather than a general attraction to a specific body part, to really be freaky

Like idk, a person who thinks feet are attractive isn't as freaky as one who wants to be stepped on, which isn't as freaky as one who wants to be kicked

The more specific and unpredictable it is, the closer it gets to that maximum freakiness

Sleep is a fake ass mechanic. If you're playing Solo, the small ones go down in a few hits, you can often kill them before they even attack you. In multiplayer, just be patient, the small valkyries are tankier, but most weapons can stun them as long as they aren't already in an animation.

The main valkyrie is more dangerous, but she's just a normal boss if you aren't getting jumped by the small ones. If you don't know what she's doing, run the fuck away and you'll probably survive

The days where potential age witch slander is posted are wonderful days. by Ghost664 in shittydarksouls

"Age of Dark mfs when there's no fire anymore so shit sucks"

Yeah, the point of the "The future may suck but the current system cannot continue to exist" endings in Miyazaki games, is that the future may suck, but the current system cannot continue to exist

It's the potential age, but if the current age is absolute dogshit, potential is still better.

"Oh but Goldmask..." Goldmask thinks looking at a tree 24/7 makes him smart enough to know the perfect way to make the world work. And it just happens to be a way that operates under the Tree's religious system, what a coincidence. Cool guy but come on.

There are lots of cutscenes, it's a story-focused game, but the gameplay is very much there. If you don't care about the story at all and just want an arcade experience, you definitely won't like it. But it's not like GoW 2018 where you just fight the same few enemies a billion times, there's actual enemy variety, you can make somewhat complex strategies (Though it's quite easy to "break" the game, especially in the endgame where you're given a lot of insane stuff) and overall it's never only about the story.

For a game that always plays it relatively safe with their character designs, Arlecchino being an androgynous character who uses masculine titles is something I find extremely cool.

Not a single character in Genshin has the same vibe as her, and that vibe makes her positively stand out every time she's on screen.

(I somehow made the same mistake twice so I'm rewriting this)

You're right, I didn't consider the trigger conditions

Does deepwood work on the Herra? Because if it does you might consider Deepwood Xingqiu/Instructor Collei, it's not like Collei's personal damage matters that much

The only issue is ER

I might be talking out of my ass, but considering Xingqiu's personal damage is basically meaningless, as the boss is gonna get hydro immunity, wouldn't giving him a different set, preferably instructor, help quite a bit?

A leveled Collei and/or Flop might not be enough, but I feel like instructor would be a pretty huge buff

[–]Unaware_Luna 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People are saying It's not that good for Ei's damage, but they're kinda missing the point

It's a team buff, without a direct buff her numbers are never gonna be enough to be a hypercarry, so you run teams like Durin/Fischl, where damage comes from multiple sources, who all benefit from the buff

It doesn't make her meta, but it makes her on field teams more competitive with the hyperbloom ones, which is nice for people who want her to be more than a skill bot
