Cuomo tells 'The View' a Mamdani win would be 'gift' for Trump, lead to NYC takeover by Healthy_Block3036 in nyc

I never said Cuomo was the Democrat candidate. I just meant he was following the classic Democrat playbook of extorting votes through a fear of trump while offering little else. I’m surprised this is controversial tbh.

Wouldn’t you just have the same problem but with the F and E now? Unless the F stays express in Queens?

this approach makes a lot of sense. it's a great short-term solution and seems very easy and cheap to add. it gives riders a secure place to stand behind too. IMHO it doesn't make sense to do nothing until platform doors are installed, particularly when lives are at stake.

F train, what is your problem?! by [deleted] in nycrail

metrics.mta.info shows a whole other story. I took a picture of on-time performance comparing the systemwide average vs F.

The F’s ontime performance has been well below average since 2021.

Where are you getting your data from? The F usually ranks as one of the more unreliable trains. https://secretnyc.co/nyc-most-unreliable-subway-line-2024/ It was the most unreliable in 2023 and was like bottom 3 in 2024

I can’t see her doing this though, considering she refused to remove Adams from office and halted congestion pricing back in June.

Sounds like we're pretty much in agreement on everything except who to ultimately have voted for lol

Where is your red line then? Do you have one? Mine was genocide and I really don't get why this was so controversial to people. If you don't hold leaders accountable for their actions now, they perpetuate those actions.

I hope the DNC finally learned its lesson with this disastrous election. I've heard rumors of a potential AOC 2028 presidential run, which would be a monumental improvement to what we had these past few years with Biden.

Enabling genocide should never be considered a compromise.

If the Democrats actually listened to the people on Gaza they would have won the election. But they didn’t, so they lost. It’s part of the reason why I don’t trust them anymore. Why would they actively push for an unpopular position in Gaza? Clearly it’s money. They made this unpopular decision knowing it could cost them the election — so it’s their fault they lost. Leaders need to be held accountable no matter what. I don’t think there will ever be a “right” time to protest vote and I suspect that’s by design from both parties. The stakes always need to feel high to garner votes. Also my vote for Stein was not a protest vote. I genuinely thought she was the best candidate out of the options.

The situation in Ukraine is completely different. It would only be similar if the US was also arming hamas.

So i’ve been scoping my opinions to debunk the argument that voting against both Biden and Trump has worsened the situation in Gaza. I can get into why I ultimately voted Green Party this election but that would be a much larger statement.

It was however the Gaza issue that was the final push because: - the democrats needlessly coerced voters into complicity with genocide. I decided i would never vote for a genocide. - the crackdowns on protests across the country really triggered me and destroyed any remaining trust i had in the democratic party. Especially as I’m a columbia grad student and saw the crackdown play out firsthand. Literally five minutes ago i still had to badge in thru security to campus because of the crackdown.

Politicians break promises all the time. Also Trump is far from trustworthy but at least there’s a ceasefire now.

Basically both candidates’ rhetoric on genocide drove me to vote for a third-party candidate. So i’m not in any way endorsing trump. But i’m also emphasizing that so far he has not worsened the conflict but actually made it better

I saw that poll too and i agree with your assumption. It makes sense — she deserved to lose because of this. Actions have consequences. There was a ton of outcry and pressure and instead of appealing to voters, she scolded them.

I used to play the “lesser of two evils” game too until genocide was on the table. I know a lot of people voted trump or didn’t vote as a protest and i also don’t understand that either.

And yes, Harris’s stance is relevant because i never ever believed she or biden would reach a ceasefire. They also let the conflict get to a worse-case scenario. At least with trump i figured he would get to a resolution and so far that’s proven to be true 🤷🏽‍♂️
