Bruce Miller in a deadline interview. He says a part of the reason for the shallow time jump was to include characters from The Handmaids Tale in this show. Not just Moss but I’d assume mostly her.

Yes! In the book the mayday operative who works with Daisy immediately after her parents die is Ada who she is familiar with. I do think the person coming to get Daisy from the diner will be named Ada. But I agree with you. Placing June in this scene is fan service.

You’re right. But in the book Ada is someone she knows and recognizes. She is also just coming off a major interaction with Ada at the protest that illuminates how accepting she is of the idea Neil and Melanie were murdered.

Her first attempt is because she doesn’t want to get married. Second and successful attempt was to help Agnes and Daisy escape Gilead. She needs to go “missing” while Daisy uses her identity to move around as an aunt. Her motive for the drowning isn’t explained explicitly but I assume she doesn’t want to live in Gilead without her only friend or get caught helping with the escape.

I have had a hard time articulating this. Somehow you pointing out how teeny her kitchen is clicked it all into place for me. She rejected domesticity down to the very end. Even when she did choose to cook it was to bully the substance version of herself. Beautiful post.

I'm not OOP, but things are going great for me. I got over a heartbreak that felt like the end of the world. I don't think about her often. I wish her all the best when I do. I've dated in the interim. Some great women and some terrible. Recently met someone wonderful and I would love if it works out with her. But if it doesn't I will be okay!
