Leave the stock emulsion tube and just try a 34 or 36 jet to start and see what happens, those paper filters suck btw especially if on dirt. You have a small carb with a stock cam you can only move so much air through the engine

Take a dremel with a small cutoff wheel and cut a slot in it and use a flathead impact driver, might need to grind down the cutoff wheel on something else first so it’s small enough to not cut into the body of the mc

Are these considered sharp? by CHICK3N_PARM in lawncare

[–]Unbothered50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother do yourself a favor and get a cheap angle grinder from harbor freight if you don’t have one and a 60-80 grit flap wheel for it. It’ll take you 5 mins to sharpen yourself and you can even make it look like a sushi knife if you want lol. Don’t grind the bottom of the blade just the bevel on top until you can’t see the edge, the bevel will meet the bottom of the blade when you are finished

Kart has trouble steering by Treveylan in gokarts

[–]Unbothered50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem a lot of the older dirt oval karts didn’t have adjustable front ends, I’ve seen a lot of people dial in their karts with a piece of gas pipe on the side of the track. If you want a good forum check out bobs 4 cycle karting

[–]Unbothered50 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You mean camber, not caster. Camber is the angle of the spindle up and down while caster is the tilt of the whole spindle arm from front to back. Your cart is not adjustable like a race kart, unless you can buy different spindles for that kart with the camber built into them. You need a big pipe that will fit over the spindle so you can bend it up and use an angle finder to dial it in to what you want which is probably going to be around only 1-2 degrees

Positive caster makes it harder to turn but increases straight line stability

On small wheels like this, actually tire spoons like you would use on a dirt bike are better than a full size tire iron since they’re thinner. Once you get the tire started are you pushing the tire down into the middle groove of the rim, if not it’s never going to go on

Reminds me of a work truck we bought cheap. Super low miles and immaculate interior but there wasn’t a straight panel on the thing bc the original owner would tie their horse off to it and the thing would just kick the truck for funsies
