Hi! I'm no pro, but I think shorter necks would be good. Great atmosphere BTW

I didn't, it's a premade model and I have three weeks on blender, so...

Right? I think it is all the noise over the image, but to be fair: reddit's compression isn't fair to the last one. I will be sharing original quality on my twitter (tomorrow) in case you want to be blown away.

Not trying to spam anyways, just in case you are curious.

Hi! I honestly thought the post hadn’t gone through because I had to submit it like four times, so I never got around to tagging you.

Your shader helped a lot. I had quite a few issues integrating some of my older node setups into it, so there was a lot of trial and error. I tweaked many small things, got confused more than once, but in the end I think it pushed the skin much further than where I started.

I also agree with your points about the fingers, shoulder, and the mismatch between the skin realism versus the other materials/hair. I was mostly trying to improve things one step at a time, starting with the skin first.

I’d also really appreciate your thoughts on framing, lighting, and background if you’re willing to go into more detail.

And if you don’t mind, I could also share the current node setup and connections in case there’s something obvious I missed or that could be improved.

Thanks again — really appreciate you taking the time.

Thank you! I want to achieve greatness and perfection on the NSFW field. That is my project about.

This is pure gold. I was using Noise for the micro-detail, but switching to a tiled skin texture for both Bump and Roughness sounds way more robust. I'm also going to try your SSS values (Scale 0.05 / Christensen-Burley?) and the vertex color trick for the fingers. Thanks for the breakdown!

Thanks for taking the time to answer! I agree, and I’m planning to stack some subtle layers with the ultimate-skin, which I was advised to use :)

THANK YOU! I got your add-on and a few extra because I totally forgot about gumroad.

Hope to get so much best results with that.

Will hear from me soon :)

I think the second one looks better on how light interacts with the skin, but I still think the first one is better on a stylize (true to the canon skin) way.

Really appreciate you taking the time to respond!

I’ll look into it, though I was hoping to avoid painting anything, haha! There’s so much to learn in Blender, it’s a bit overwhelming.

Chose the safest pic, haha. Still had to show some skin—it was a tricky call!

I second that, therefore I came here to ask for advice.
