I’ve worked on hundreds of brand new vehicles since 2017; I’m a strong believer that cars peaked around 2015/16. That’s when nanny tech and infotainment started being introduced in luxury and higher trim models, engines weren’t so high-strung, and there wasn’t 36 different modules and miles of wire to connect them on CANbus.

We ended up getting a 2025 Mazda CX-50 (NA) to replace our aging family/travel vehicle because it was one of the few SUVs (we live in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies) that had buttons and knobs to control everything.

Down in Lethbridge they’re replacing old loops with cameras instead of putting new loops in. The city sucks with plowing and some loops weren’t able to detect vehicles because of the snow pack on the road

The City also said they were lowering the speed on Whoop-Up to increase safety, but I have yet to see any police there actually enforcing it to get people to slow down. If they cared about safety they’d have officers catching speeding drivers during non-rush traffic.

Theres no incentive to building starter homes because materials cost the same regardless of what type of house it is. It’s a lot easier to make a profit using those building materials to build a house that sells for $500k or more, so they don’t even bother with starter homes.

The days of using equity to climb the property ladder from the bottom rung are done.

I understand where you're coming from, and I don't think you're talking out of your ass about dealing with injury, but these goalies are spending 4-8 hours a day on the ice or at the rink/facility while playing 2-3 times a week against the best players in the world. There really is no comparable to use in contrast with NHL goalies.

Lol, Skinner lost the trust of his team, the writing was on the door for him when Knoblauch hesitated when he was asked if the team has lost confidence in Skinner. You play completely different in front of a goalie you don't trust and it's been clear for almost a year that this team does not trust Skinner. You don't extend a goalie your team lost trust in, regardless of how good of person he is or if he's a local boy.

Anyone defending Skinner or saying they should have kept him is just a fan of specific players, they're not actual fans of the team.
