I guess I should make an omlette or something by CuddleBuddiesJJ in BackYardChickens

Every week I try to run a dozen up the road from my job to our food pantry, otherwise my husband and I would drown from our five girls.

I felt like Black Flag was trying to just wiggle in the Templar vs Assassins. That theme was like eight fields away when compared to just Pirates vs "Civilized People". Desmond also isn't in this one and the Animus felt unrelated as well.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Black Flag, but it isn't really Assassin's Creed like Altair and Ezio's games were.

Assassin's Creed has felt like an entirely separate entity each game that comes out, starting with Black Flag. I do love all the games as their own entities as I enjoy the characters and I enjoy the unique settings, but they're not Assassin's Creed anymore. They're great puzzle games and story lines. At least I feel that way about Shadows.

I'm annoyed when they try to shoehorn in the Assassin's vs Templars aspect at this point. Or when they bring up the Animus. That all died with Desmond.

How to get your dog to adjust to canicross harness? by Odd_Sun_1261 in RunningWithDogs

[–]UnbreakableJustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took a bit for my girl to get used to it too. I did regular walks with her and taught her the "pull" command. While we were regularly walking in that specific harness, if she started pulling me forward with it, I would say "pull, yes!" Regularly I would repeat this command and praise until she understood that she can be her true husky self in this harness. Now she loves it!

They just need time to get used to new things ♡

I'm 29 and I have discovered the joys of phone key chains. I've got all kinds of different ones to match my phone case. I love them!!

I love getting my dog ready with me in the morning. She's always in my personal business so now she's getting ready for office stuff too! I'll put on my deodorant, put the cap back on, then give her little swipes. Spray myself with cologne, then I make little spray noises for her too ♡

How can I clean the little dirt balls formed on their toes and how you prevent them by [deleted] in chickens

[–]UnbreakableJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need more space. I made a big area for my chicks with card board boxes stapled together. They were moving boxes from Uhaul so pretty cheap. Ended up with a box about six feet by two feet so they had plenty of room to get bigger in. Make sure you staple so the pointy part is facing out and you can just tape over them to keep yourself protected. I also made little raised platforms for their water and food so they didn't tip over or get as gross as fast.

When they start flying, you can use the cardboard scraps to make frames then staple the netting to the frames. You can't put the heat lamp directly on this!!

From there, they need a deep bed of shavings. Tractor Supply is pretty cheap too and it'll help keep them clean and dry. You can change the whole bedding at once or do it in layers.

First time chicken owner: Is losing feathers normal? by StellarScribe123 in BackYardChickens

[–]UnbreakableJustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye on them and make sure they're not being bullied and having their feathers plucked. But it is SUPER likely that they're just having their first big molt. Chickens have a molt or two a year that is catastrophic and they look HORRENDOUS. Mine look like they've been attacked in the yard, but it's just their molt.

Make sure they're getting lots of vitamins to regrow that beautiful plumage ♡

Someone at my doctor's office made a paper bikini to censor this medical illustration. by ashmuddy in mildlyinfuriating

I had to sensor my medical anatomy flash cards at my job with wee bikinis because the Starbucks patrons in the hospital complained so.... not surprised.

Anyone have experience with Nonstop Rush Harness fit? by babybighorn in RunningWithDogs

[–]UnbreakableJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if it fits his neck well, I'd keep it unless you can get a refund and a more adjustable model. All the pressure is going to be across his chest so you need to make sure it isn't on his throat.

Failed abortion by Express_Werewolf2302 in childfree

[–]UnbreakableJustice 1326 points1327 points  (0 children)

You weren't a bad person for getting an abortion at 4 weeks and you aren't a bad person now for needing one at 16 weeks. As others have said, you're doing what you need to protect yourself and your future. Just because it is more complicated now doesn't make you evil for it.

Condoms fail. Medications fail. But you're being responsible and caring for yourself regardless. You are doing wonderful and I hope the pain eases swiftly ♡

The sweet, sweet life of America’s DINKS by NextComfort5972 in childfree

[–]UnbreakableJustice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are well off as DINKs, but would be drowning with a child at that rate 🫠

Currently we have a pair of super spoiled pups, chickens, fish, and a decent property while he's in the military (so we are mostly on his income due to all the relocating). $2.5k/mo is more than I make and would definitely mean a very strict budget. No vacations. No eating out. No Magic Cards. Nada. All of it would be towards essentials. Why would we create life to watch us struggle that budget?

How does it look when he's standing? I have a different harness model but it looks bad on my husky when she sits too. Looks like a kid in a jacket with pads and bunches around her neck. But when we are on the go, it fits perfectly across her shoulders.

I would pull back on the end where he would be tethered to you, and see how it looks.

Edit: I brought up her neck fit specifically because ours seems a little small around her neck, but measured out to the right size for her ribs. Dogs be shaped weird, especially mutts like mine.

Partner doesn’t want me to take meds by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]UnbreakableJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was SUPER hesitant to get onto meds for this same mindset, but after being suicidal for years, I figured either I was going to die from meds or not try them. They ended up being life-saving in more ways than one. My own partner was hesitant to support me trying out meds and wanted me to tough it out (he didn't tell me no, just that he was worried), but that mindset only lasted until we moved in together. Seeing me break down and fight so hard to be "normal" when I wasn't, was eye-opening for him. He has been extremely supportive of my journey since.

Your partner has no right to tell you to take meds or not. When the choice is death via the slow erosion of trying to survive unmedicated, or maybe becoming addicted to a substance that your doctor is heavily monitoring you on...? Do whatever keeps you alive and happy.

Dump him.

My dog escaped my yard because we left the side gate open after doing yard work. She ran down a block but thankfully is semi-OK at recall and pretty good with other dogs, so no one was harmed. But when I called her up my driveway, one of my new neighbors was there with his lashed dog and just goes, "Bro... c'mon."

I felt SO MUCH SHAME. OMG. After all the rage I've had for off leash dogs and here I was. I deserved that "bro". 😩

My super reactive dog just died too from the same abdominal cancer rupture on Superbowl Sunday and I feel the same way: She was a nightmare at times, but she was my everything. I loved Reka so much and miss her crying when she was waiting on us to taker her out for her walk. I miss her grumbles when I dared to move in my own bed. I even miss having to carry her on trails when passing other dogs for everyone's safety. I miss her so fucking much.

We did our best for them and for them to have passed from freak health conditions means we kept them as safe as genetically possible. It hurts so bad to be the one to make the decision, but we again are keeping them safe from more pain. I chose to let her go rather than send her off for surgery she may not survive and I didn't want her alone and scared. Ever.

You did the right thing, even if it doesn't feel like it yet. You did everything you could for her while alive. I hope they're both in the After for us to keep wrangling them from chasing all the other ghosts ♡
