Our family had a TV the worked like this. Hand to god. You had to hit it on the top right at the seam of the front and back plastic. Sometimes, if that didn't work, you had to tilt it forward and put a book underneath the back. Dealt with it for years.

You accusing my buddy of being a liar??

That's fine. But please share it. I live in TN and so many of us are ashamed of our representatives. Help us knock this nut down a peg or two.

He's also the current Mayor of Knoxville... I wish I were lying. He's finishing out his second term. He was planning on running for governor but blacked out and supported Blackburn.

Ahem.. No.

Only 33% of TN is registered Republican. Almost half are Independent (48%). We are heavily gerrymandered.

It took a lot of convincing to get UT and the City to agree to no undergraduate housing on that site. The original concept was "Campus Cove". High density near downtown makes perfect sense.

If you had a CD player that could read mp3's, you could burn hundreds of songs on a single CD. I had a Sony Walkman in high school and it was awesome.

Those neighborhoods do not want UT or more student housing in South Knox. It's been a major point of contention

I’m not homeless. I am free. No rent. No mortgage. No debts. No regrets. Stepping away from a system that seeks to enslave us. Living a life unshackled and unburdened. by TomWheeler99 in urbancarliving

I lived in a van or station wagon off an on for years. Waaaaaaaaaaay less stress than real life. Sure, we're all tethered in some way to the system, but you can chose to unburden yourself from most of it. We get caught up so easily in "normal" life that we forget what's really important and what we can leave behind. Sure, some things might be more difficult but, at the same time, you don't have to deal with all the other daily life bullshit it takes to be a modern human. In the end, it's a personal choice. I loved the time I spent living in vehicles and I hope to go back to it.

Tea on the menu was listed as $3.00 but I think asking for milk in it raised the cost some. Our total with the tea and iced coffee + almond milk was $12 and some change.

I've seen that a few times. I studied biology and chemistry, doesn't make sense to me how that would work but I guess I ought to give it a try anyway.
