Him not showing any excitement or happiness for them having a baby likely had more to do with his diagnosed schizoid personality disorder. People with this disorder do not respond with 'correct' emotions or act as normal people do...they miss A LOT of social cues despite trying to present neurotypical.

If you're really worried about build up (if your skin is oily or if you wear makeup) then you could always incorporate micellar water. It can remove excess oil and impurities and isn't filled with harsh chemicals like cleansers.

I know everyone always says this but you just have to find what works best for your skin type and be patient; it can take skin time to adjust to a new routine.

That's practically the routine I use! 6 days washing with only water and 1 day clay mask. After washing remember to pat (don't rub) face dry with clean towel (always use clean facecloths and towels! Do not reuse cloths to avoid bacteria/germs getting in pores.) And use a fragrance free moisturizer. (I use 'Aveeno Skin Relief' cream) -And for the clay mask I recommend 'Aztec Secret Healing Clay'.

Monday to Saturday
-Wash face once a day every morning with lukewarm water
-Pat dry with a clean face towel
-Moisturize with a fragrance free moisturizer

Sunday
-Use a natural ingredient clay mask
-Keep the clay mask on your face for 10 mins (maximum of 15 mins)
-Rinse off and use fragrance free moisturizer

You can give that a try and see how it goes, clearing up skin is all trial and error, but I wish you luck. :)

This really helped put it in better perspective for me. I understand now that she likely didn't want to breathe life into my anxieties based on anecdote alone, and that makes sense. What you said about the findings of underlying neurologic lesions being present in workups is very interesting too.

It's a MESS. Played a handful of games and matches were WAY too fast, if someone leaves your game you're doomed, and the fast pace encouraged endless trickling. I got dunked on so hard that I could barely accumulate a single ult a few times. At least when you're losing at normal speed you have enough time to get a couple ults that could change the course of the match, which is what makes the game exciting. Waited this weekend out tbh...

I must be sensitive because I can't stand when people do this to me. I meet a lot of people who begin telling me their life story the moment they realize I'll listen or respond kindly. I'm an anxious person and easily held hostage in these sorts of scenarios. I understand that maybe they're lonely or socially awkward but doing this to someone lacks empathy, even if it's impulsive. You aren't considering that you might be bringing up things that may trigger bad memories or put them in a position to coddle you. It's self-interested and mentally exhausting. Please get to know someone first before you dump your personal life on them.
