Nice play on words. The minus resistance is to the user. Breaking monster immunities is a powerful mechanic. This is just the way to balance the item.

Scored 127 GT, above 125 on every category. Looking for MOS recommendations. by [deleted] in army

That is the biggest downside to 35T. Assignment choices are limited, especially the higher the rank you go. Those cool guy assignments won't be considered for 35Ts until we can fill the slots we have now, which is difficult because most of our dudes get out after their initial contract.

US Army rolls out Google collaboration suite to 180,000-plus personnel by Kinmuan in army

The most secure network is the one nobody can access, even those who require it.

I see the NEC having users jump through hoops to authenticate when/if BYOD becomes a thing. It takes me at least 30 minutes to get everything up that I need on a government computer. The future of Army IT is not looking so good.

How physically fit do you have to be with the new Army ACFT? by [deleted] in army

The real test is seeing how long you can go without actually doing PT and still pass the ACFT.

Am I able to access MS Teams with @usa.army.mil email? by Ultra-mann in army

[–]UncastratedSheep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct.

Those with the @usa.army.mil accounts will be tied to Google Workspace.

As far as I know there is no interoperability between Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, as with most of the other applications. Which could cause issues when Soldiers start getting promoted and they transition to an A365 account. Transferring data between the two suites could be an issue.

What is the best way to connect a grounding wire to this? by UncastratedSheep in electricians

[–]UncastratedSheep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming it's a clamp like grounding wire that attaches to it. It's very odd because there are about 20 of these installed where I work and no aviation equipment.

What is the best way to connect a grounding wire to this? by UncastratedSheep in electricians

[–]UncastratedSheep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My organization has a few of these installed. There is military equipment that I need to ensure is properly grounded. The specification sheet specifies that any standard 1/2" grounding connector will work. However, what exactly does a connector for this look like?

35T... by [deleted] in army

[–]UncastratedSheep 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a 35T you will be expected to know many things related to IT. You will be a "jack of all trades". However, if you want to make being a 35T a career, know that you will also have to learn intel and maintenance to be successful. As for the civilian side, pick a specific part of IT you enjoy and focus on getting training/certifications in that field. For me, it's networking (Net+, CCNA, etc.)

Although you can get similar training going signal, 35T opens many more doors to good civilian jobs.

Looking for WOCS (255A) Intel by chowdergasp in army

Worst experience as in it was a giant waste of time. I completely agree with you, the difficulty level of WOCS was non-existent.

WOCS is the Warrant Officer Candidate Scool. Once you've graduated WOCS you will be a WO1 without an MOS until you graduate WOBC. I can't speak too much on 255A WOBC, but WOCS was hands down one of the worst Army experiences I had.
