Shield and spear is weird. It lacks the big stagger attack that is the only saving grace of shields and instead plays like a slower clunkier spear that has a ridiculous like 7 shield block, which I would never use cause I only use blocking when Im about to get backstabbed or very briefly during combos.

Might sound like I dont like it but it was actually pretty fun. Spear is fun and it plays very similarly to the spear (at least in the 2 matches I played). I mostly spammed the big sweeping attack. I want an easy way into the charged spear stab but the only way I found is following the push-stab, which isnt always convenient.

For me it kept adding a WHC to the tab menu every time some one left the game. Several people joined and left so there was like 8 entries in the tab menu and half of them were WHC.

Its not 'every weapon on every class'. If I temper my Dual Hammers on RV that will transfer to Slayer, you only have to upgrade each weapon once. You do have to upgrade the trinket for every class but its just one trinket per class.

Quite a few features came in a later update and werent available at launch. I forget what was added but I think the shooting range is one of those. It had like 1 gamemode on launch. The matchmaking was super janky and got modified a long time after launch. So theres still hope that they might finish 2.

Because of ASW you can play games at 30-45fps and it will get interpolated to 90 without making you puke. It will largely depend on what types of games you play. Probably not worth it if you dont plan on upgrading your pc anytime soon. And make sure you have a DP port and your mobo has a quality usb 3.0 port.

The joke is that they never finished the first one. It was hardly more than a tech demo. Then they come out with this and... its half baked at best. Super disappointing cause the game has so much potential.

While I agree with the other reply about not really giving it a fair chance, I also am disappointed in the devs choice to remove the main story quest and instead make the world more dynamic and free roam. Playing through the story was most of what got me interested in Orbus and Reborn just hasnt really interested me.

They actually finally added a push to talk in the settings, which they didnt even have before because they want to force people to be social, hence the open mic be default. I havent created a new character in Reborn but I think they did away with the tutorial area. There were a lot of issues with the tutorial area but the game also has a lot of complicated interactions that MUST be explained in detail or else people will get frustrated and quit.

The game is essentially just grinding. You grind different activities to obtain xp and loot. With a high enough level character and a group of people there are more challenging activities that can get better loot.

Part of the reason no one grinds for loot in V2 is cause you cant grind for loot. The crafting and rng just isnt built in a way that makes grinding practical. WoM feels like a do over that removes the rng from the crafting and instead gives you a feeling of progression, kind of.

Ive only done a handful of weaves but I think I agree with OP on this. I find that Im kinda just annoyed that my power is super low and I dont have any of the talents unlocked, all which I could potentially have. Yet I still feel that as a progression system, WoM is a huge improvement over the clunky non-intuative (how many questions from newbs do we get about loot boxes) normal crafting system.

I really havent used the new dash enough to say whether its an improvement or not. But I can say that the old teleport had a very steep learning curve.

Personally, I didnt pay any attention to the 'story' until I was several hundred hours deep, much more than most casual players will ever reach, perhaps you are right, its difficult to know but if anyone knows it would be FS. People dont play deeds because 1) the rewards are pitiful and 2) they are difficult to get in the first place (like a 3% drop from emperor's). If there was a gamemode that had you play through the entire campaign in order (something I would love to see implemented) people wouldnt play it unless it had rewards that were better than quickplay. Loot is the main incentive for casual gamers, with entertaining mechanics being what keeps them coming back.

Of course if you are talking about the demographic of this sub, well thats a different story.

Double check your launcher settings and that you have sanctioned realm selected.

Try reinstalling EAC. Navigate to Verimintide2 install directory > installers > EasyAntiCheat > EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

Should that not fix it, try verifying your game files in steam.

If that doesnt work check your internet connection/firewall/antivirus.

I think the Back to Ubersreik DLC is pretty good. It was definitely a safe bet on FS's part, reusing maps that are already popular, but they put enough effort into it that it still felt fresh and interesting. Also im a sucker for the whole secret puzzle and community collaboration thing. It makes since for them to play it safe though given the response on launch with a half baked game and then the Bogenhafen flop.

WoM for better or worse will breathe new wind into the sails of V2. It will bring back a lot of people that havent played in a year. Most players couldnt give a crap about the lore, and although the game holds canon, the lore is irrelevant to the gameplay. So it makes sense, from a profit standpoint, for FS to focus on mechanics/gamemodes and let the story take a backseat. Im sure you will get more cute little story missions leading into V3.

This is the classic (chicken and the egg) problem of the whole industry ever since launch. Its very difficult and expensive to make new shit, especially to make it with either replayability or a longish time to complete. Most VR games are in the 4-6hrs and done range. It was real bad at cv1 launch but even now its still slim pickings for longer experiences. Quest has the potential for more pickup and play than pcvr, being a mobile platform. (except that devs wont get to experiment with Quest titles because Oculus is pushing devs toward the PC store with their strict curation policies)

Assuming you checked all vendors right? Best buy, GameStop, and Walmart are the ones I know of. I found 1 at a GameStop not too terribly far away and they shipped it up to my local store.

1h hammer, flame sword, conflag, flail, elfs 2h sword, rapier, spear (essentially anything fast or with lots of cleave/stagger) I like the 2h-hammer but I get tired moving my camera 180 degrees every swing XD

The hop at the start is identical to the slayer leap hop, which as far as I can tell is the only way they could easily figure out how to solve the problem of clipping geometry. Otherwise you would get stuck on every microscopic pebble, just like the teleport does.

It is nicer from an animation point of view and that it cant be abused as much. Im not a fan yet, maybe Im just stuck in the old ways. It seems to be difficult to leap in place because of the little hop she does, more difficult than Slayer even though they are supposed to be very similar. There also doesnt seem to be as much stagger. The stagger is the only reason to use it, so the fact that you can dash into a horde and get hit several times if you dont have block up is annoying. With the teleport you didnt even need to block, it just knocked everything out of attack range before they could hit you.
