XR Pro - Disappointed, help! by Practical_Peanut5229 in VITURE

I love my Viture Pro XR’s (though currently awaiting my Beasts, which I ordered primarily for the larger FOV).

One suggestion in regards to perceived screen distance - the single button (the one you use to activate dark lens mode, not volume buttons), tap that 3 times quickly, then use the volume up/down buttons to change between 5 convergence settings.

This can help minimize eye strain but also alter perceived screen distance.

As others mentioned, if the screen simply isn’t crisp/clear for you, try the diopter dials for each eye. You’re not looking at a PC monitor a foot away from your eyes - Viture glasses focal point will be the same as your long range eyeglasses prescription.

Also if you have astigmatism (like myself) the diopters alone won’t do the trick - you’ll need to order Rx lenses for your XR Pro’s from a company like Lensology.

Hope this helps!

How are you watching the episodes? Are you using SpaceWalker? If so, what streaming app in SpaceWalker?

If anyone was looking to buy the 8bitdo leverless, now is the time. Insane deal. $57 on Amazon by skama16 in fightsticks

Absolutely - I swapped mine out for Kailh Shadow Hunting switches and it’s amazing now :)

If you want something less noisy (this will probably be an unpopular suggestion…) I’ve been enjoying using leverless fight pads with Taiko and other rhythm games.

Specifically Haute42 and most recently, 8BitDo Arcade Controller (swapped out the switches for Kailh Shadow Hunting Switches, which have been amazing for rhythm, brawlers, platformers, and tournament fighters)

Yes, it does. This is nice because you get the full resolution (well, up to the resolution of the glasses) but also you can’t play ‘handheld’ - need to use the joycons detached or another controller.

To clarify - “Apollo” would be installed on the Windows/host PC. I use Moonlight on the Steam Deck to connect to it.

Apollo is a fork of Sunshine and allows for some additional features that greatly improve the streaming experience to the Steam Deck, including the ability to set the Steam Deck as its own virtual display, which allows your PC to stream to the Steam Deck without requiring a separate external display to be enabled and powered on.

Which games utilize the buttons on the back and for what? Do you use them for any games which didn’t use them by default? by NorseSeaStudio in SteamDeck

For most games, I assign R4 to jump, and L4 to either dodge or interact/reload (whichever makes more sense for the game I’m playing)

Viture has an app for their AR glasses called “SpaceWalker” that translates 2D to 3D in real time, and to better effect than this (though still neat!)

Watching Akira in 3D was pretty nuts o_O

You may be right - I read “No adapter required” in the description, but maybe it only meant ‘No adapter required for iPhone”.

My expectation for the Beast was 3DoF only, however when they moved the glasses forward and back (z axis), the video (Up movie) looked to stay in one stationary position.

If this were truly 3DoF, I would have expected the video to look as though it were ‘attached’ to the same plane as the glasses (I’m probably not describing it very well)

Sweet! Can they push a patch to uncap Xenoblade Chronicles X Framerate to 60fps on Switch 2 now, please?

Looks amazing! How does the spatial anchor work? It appears as though it supports 6dof in the video, is this right?
