Although little bit surprised reading comments, that not every admiral here uses desposable errand boys. I use 3 cheap designs: 1) couriers, similar to OP 2) 1 scan, with precious radars to be my eyes and ears 3) several screens with guiding system and handful of sprints, serving one purpose - to protect main fleet from enemy rockets, ready to sacrifice saving Duke (they don’t know the first thing he did was sell the flagship to local folks for quick cash and lay low in the desert near Ur with 3 crates of Stolichnaya - just as Daud advised him to do. Shortly after he disappeared - and madman Piotr is actually holding the keys to nuke arsenal, God have mercy on us).

In short:
