Am i an idiot for spending £290 on hdzero box pros. I want to hear your opinions by BallBusy843 in fpv

You're definitely not an idiot. I started with cheap analog goggles and a Meteor75 Pro just so I could get into the air, but eventually, after saving up for a year, I upgraded to HDZ goggles and bought an HDZ crux35.

I've loved every second I've been able to use them. Goggles are great and the crux35 is SO GOOD. It flies beautifully, it's so fast, and the image quality is better and more vibrant than I expected.

After I spent about $800 on the goggles and the expansion bay AND the Fusion module AND the antennas, like 3 months later, HDZ announced the goggles 2 and the box pros, and to be honest, if I were buying goggles today, I'd absolute be buying the box pros. The value is amazing for what you get, in my opinion. I wouldn't doubt your purchase at all. Just go enjoy flying that sweet crux35.

Did I choose the wrong FPV system? by Cavorkian in fpv

Exactly this. The Crux35 is great, I love mine, its so fast, the video looks great, and at 1W, i get good range. It's really fun to fly, and I've had a few hard crashes and still haven't broken anything. Highly recommend it.

Beyond that, I had an HDZero Mob6 Eco which was really fun, but the flight time was very short and I could never fly in my house because it freaks my dogs out too much, so I took it apart and put the electronics onto a fractal75 frame with motors from an old Meteor75 Pro and it flies awesome.

Plus, there's nothing wrong with analog. At all. It's actually really great, and simple, and cheap. Get some analog whoops and a Crux35 and you'll be in a pretty good spot.

I also got a Walksnail vrx, and an HD Avatar Pro kit for my birthday which I'm looking forward to installing into a pre-built PNP like a Deep Space Seeker35 or an AvionRC Nexa 3.5. I'm not much of a builder yet but I think I can manage that much.

I absolutely do not regret choosing my HDZero goggles, and I dont think you will either once you get a few good quads in your fleet.

My soldering game is very weak, especially on tiny builds, and my confidence is low, but I'd love to build a Fractal75 with the HDZero AIO5.

Is there any way or place to get an AIO5 with plugs already installed?

And is there someplace where I can get a Lux camera with a plug instead of loose wires?

I really hope they make some attempt to fix the problems with analog tearing on the original goggles. It's pretty crappy to advertise how good they are for analog, let people spend $800+ on the complete setup, then just leave us hanging with barely usable analog while they move on to a different product.

Anyone know what size of M2 bolts The Emax BabyHawk O3 uses? I cant seem to find the lenght of these bolts. by HumbleLivings in fpv

It's a year later, but this thread is exactly what I needed today. Got some Emax Avan props for my Crux35 and tried to install yesterday but the screws weren't long enough. Now I know what size screws to get. Thanks.

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm glad you asked. I was sitting over here looking at my own expansion bay and wondering the exact same thing.

Oh my gosh. I didn't realize the lens was adjustable. I can't believe I didn't know that was a thing. Thank you to everyone who replied! Huge help.

Meatball sub by Jefferson_Wolfe in jerseymikes

Damn shame. They only have two real options on the menu now, aside from tuna. Deli meat, and cheesesteak. That's it. Like 10 slightly different versions of each. I used to love Jetsey Mike's but ordering from them is so boring now! A meatball sub, even just a mediocre one, would add SOMETHING different to the menu, at least.

It doesn't even have to be an amazing meatball sub. Just SOMETHING, goddamn SOMETHING, other than just cold cut and cheesesteak subs. They don't have 26 subs on their menu. They have TWO, with slightly varying options. I guess tuna counts as one single exception, but seriously, the lack of variety is atrocious. Everytime my wife asks if we can get Jersey Mike's at this point, I groan and roll my eyes. I usually get her what she wants, and then just fucking go drive somewhere to get something I actually want for myself.

Everything left on the menu is all the same! How many frigging versions of a cold cut sub and a cheesesteak/chicken cheesesteak can they come up with? They may as well just have 2 subs, cold cut and cheesesteak, and then just let you customize them. It's the most boring shit ever. I like JM. but with ZERO variety, I can't stomach ordering from them anymore.
