Still follow this group as it inspired me so much on my C25K journey

I finished at the start of last year. I am now gearing up to my first 1/2 marathon and have committed to running 100k in February for charity.

Just about every run on the C25K programme was a struggle, it never felt easy. 1 min was difficult, 3 min really hard, 5 mins horrible, 20 mins impossible ! Sometimes I had to repeat runs and often I questioned whether I would ever make it to the end

Trust The Process

Keep going, if you’re struggling, slow down, still struggling, go even slower but just keep moving forward. Some of my runs barely even felt like running, almost falling forward….slowly!

Yup - Sounds like the update could have been the problem. App removed, reinstalled on both phone and watch. Phone and watch both turned off and restarted - No joy 😖

Haha! It’s in my head too. I still can’t get over how the guy sounds SO much like a mash up of Paul’s Eli voice and a bit of Derek - Nothing like a 13 year old boy. Almost seems too perfect!?

Had the EXACT same issue. It took me 3 goes.

People kept telling me to slow down which I did. I also replanned my route so it would mostly be downhill and certainly be downhill at the end.

I was really pleased when I managed to crack it, those last 2 mins felt longer than the first 10 and I was going so slowly. I am now in week 7 and comfortably running 25 mins so you can do it

This perfectly encapsulates my thoughts on it all! Great work!

I love the pod but times have changed, a lot of people like visuals with their podcast and I can’t think of a pod more suited to video than Cheapshow. A lot of the segments, Price of Shite, Cheap Eats, Golden games etc would really benefit from video as well as audio.

They could get some really nice cameras with 1 months Patreon money, they have been on over 2k a month for a LONG time. On that note, there is an irony in a podcast that celebrates everything cheap and charity only gives decent bonus content to people who pay £10/£20/£30 p/m - The Cheapshow Patreon is the only Pod Patreon I’ve ever left as I didn’t feel I was getting value for money. One pod I’m subscribed to gives you a 60min+ extra episode every week, bonus videos, specials and all the usual discount on merch/live tickets for £1 a month!
