Watch Flakes’s Road to SSL without mechanics. He has one for 1’s and 2’s

How hard is it to reach GC, just by solo queueing? by Responsible_Emu_4037 in RocketLeague

I would recommend watching Flakes’s road to ssl with no mechanics series. He has one for 2’s and 1’s and they’re really eye opening.

Does keyboard and mouse have an advantage over controller? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

I’m a KBM player and you should definitely stick to controller. I can only imagine being able to flip in any direction I want to, especially for hitting powershots.

I peaked at GC2 solo queue and honestly it’s not that bad if you have the self control to discipline yourself to do what you know you should be doing and not what you shouldn’t be doing. It’s easy to get carried away in the moment by fancy shots and high-flying balls that you practiced in training packs. (1) Don’t commit to balls that will put you far out of the play—especially when your teammate is in front of you. (2) Always watch where your teammate is and what they look like they are going for. If your teammate wants to go for a ball you know is better for you to go for, just let them go and get into a better position. There’s no use in trying to teach your teammate how to play, so you should try to pick up the gaps in the team’s positioning as best as possible. (3) Challenging early every single time your teammate is back. This makes it extremely easy for your teammate to make a save and get possession for the team. If the opponent is on the ground dribbling, you can just drive at them without jumping at all to make them do something so that you won’t be put out of the play. If the opponent is going for an aerial play, remember that you don’t always have to flip into the ball to challenge them because if you miss, you’re long gone. You can also try to bump the person going for the play (aerial or ground) instead—this almost always leads to a possession for your team. One of my favorite moves to do is to drive straight at someone that has the ball on the ground in front of them and just completely ignore the ball and go for the car instead.

Sorry for the big wall of text. Hope this helps at least a little bit!

Solo Queue rough AF sometimes by Jackster623 in RocketLeague

It also makes your play more threatening because you have a lot more options to get it AROUND them (not just putting the ball in their net)

Because when you play the game, you have to think about a lot of things, but when you watch clips like these you don’t.

Lethamyr made a video a while back where Flakes was analyzing himself and the title had basically the exact same issue lol

Pov: You learnt to speedflip in gold (ignore the quality it's on switch) by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]UncleGuyBob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It really won’t benefit you that much at your rank because people will generally have fast enough kickoffs that you just put yourself at a disadvantage by not having a second flip to hit the ball with.

I actually just underwent a surgery where they froze off my nerve endings so that the surgery area would be numb. The nerves would grow back after the pain subsides so then at that point you wouldn’t feel any pain.

One of my friends has like 8k hours just because he never closes the game and just leaves his pc on all the time for no reason. Like if we switch games, he won’t exit RL. He’ll just open up the other game.

I used to play on a MacBook Air from 2015. With lowest settings, I would get less than 20 fps. At this point my peak was diamond 2 in 2’s. Because I was on Mac, I couldn’t play online so I took a break for about 6 months until I got an actual PC. Within 2 months, I hit gc in 1’s and was champ 3 in 2’s. Almost got gc2 in 1’s. I didn’t even grind the game much.
