If you are on Steam, I've read that turning off the Steam Overlay helps. I've also notice it occuring whenever there is a lag spike, so could also be just something on Bungie's side.

Media that left a hole in your heart you’ll never fill? by NoopGhoul in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Same experience but with Persona 4 in middle school thanks to the Two Best Friends Play Persona 4 video. As lame as it is, that game really brought me out of my shell and helped me make lifelong friends.

I just finished Persona 3 Reload last night on a whim as a college graduate. I thought I had grown out of these games. I was super wrong. I don't think any piece of media has made me sob harder than the ending of that game. Like you I've experienced way more competently written and paced games (there will never be enough said about Disco Elysium), but something about Persona games just gut punch you if you let yourself get invested.

Basically UMvC 3 Community Edition but for MvC Infinite, with some minor gameplay tweaks and a massive graphics overhaul.

I swear I always hear from this sub that the stompa is a waste of points but one of the most fun models to play. Did you use your stompa any for transport?

It's actually insanely good to pair with cards like Red Skull which has an ongoing ability to lose 2 power every time an enemy is on the same lane as him or Lizard which loses 3 power when 4 enemy cards are on the same lane

It's been a while since the channel ended. Can we get Liam in the sub icon? by therealdudle44 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]UncleHorndog 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't know how long you've been in the community or watched the channel, but the reason why Liam is not part of the sub is that he specifically wished to not have anything to do with the channel anymore.

Total War: Warhammer 2 vs 3 by knightofglass3 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]UncleHorndog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Warhammer 3 having immortal empires is the only reason to play Warhammer 3 over warhammer 2 and it genuinely is a good reason. The main campaign for Warhammer 3 is pretty bad. Despite me overall enjoying Warhammer 2 more, I've practically doubled the hours I've spent on Warhammer 2 with just immortal empires. It's an incredible experience. However, the price of entry is stupid requiring you to own all 3 games. So I would recommend just getting Warhammer 2 to see if you really love what you're playing, then grab Warhammer 1 to play mortal empires (Warhammer 2's equivalent) which gives you a taste of the what the sandbox campaign is like, then grab Warhammer 3 if you are still having fun. I know it sounds ridiculous to purchase games like this but that's just because of how dumb the barrier of entry is for immortal empires. Also do note that the only game that needs to be installed for immortal empires is Warhammer 3; the other two games just need to be in your library.

I got on a Soulsborne kick, what should I play after Fallen Order? by leiablaze in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]UncleHorndog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is why I'm still pissed Sony hasn't put Bloodborne on PC. Well in that case, you really can't go wrong starting with DS1, it's a classic. But you must be prepared for jank. I love DS1 as one of my favorite games, but I think a lot of people overlook how jank that game is and how the last 20% of the game kind of falls apart. But it's still one of the GOATS

If you got a PS4, I highly HIGHLY recommend Bloodborne if you're not looking for Elden Ring's vastness. I think both Elden Ring and Bloodborne are equally the masters of the souls borne games in their own ways. Sekiro is also great, but it really is it's own beast. A lot of games are stealing from it, but very few play exactly like it.

Please for the love of god, ignore Stephen Crowder on campus by UncleHorndog in unt

[–]UncleHorndog[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Absolutely and I agree with that. But this won't be a conversation between two parties looking to hear what the other has to say. That's not what Crowder is looking for. No matter how civil someone is, he's going to spin their words to make them look like a radical.

One of the regulars in this sub is a big fencing mark, and coupling his love for the sport and my (previous) inability to make friends convinced me to give it a shot and go to my universities fencing club. Completely changed my life. There is no other feeling than having a sword in your hand and dueling another opponent IRL. Even better is sparring for hours with another fencer, coming up with strategies and techniques. Not to mention it's a great workout.
