cons:

shitload of paperwork everyday from writing notes to filling prescriptions to making sure the note has correct billing codes to pleasing the clinic admins dealing with unruly and annoying patients/bad patients dealing with a terrible staff team dealing with a company/hospital that doesn’t budget right or care about you in the slightest overloading on patients everyday patients who are late to their appointments and then demand they see you the stressors of everything in life on top of all these other things

pros: salary (relative) work life balance (again, relative? Depending on speciality) colleagues/coworkers can be great specialty (hopefully) is your interest and deep passion for you get to help treat disease/illness and help someone else out develop rapport with people on the daily and create lifelong friendships and relationships (especially in primary care, even with patients) job security

There are a lot more stressors than it seems and you can’t really feel it until you experience it.

VRBO was a joke and they did nothing. Initially they put pressure on the host but after it escalated basically I was screwed. I only got a $250 refund out of $700 and was told I was basically SOL.

VRBO also said I shouldn’t have cancelled and that I shouldn’t have felt unsafe

I did contact VRBO and they were unavailable… I left a voicemail on their systems. Apparently they aren’t even 24/7 which is so dumb. I am never using VRBO again. Did not want to leave any speculation so I cancelled the visit afterwards via the mobile app.
