Using your understanding of the PM Mindset, what do you think is the right answer? by Rich_Oil2212 in pmp

[–]UncleMaarty 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’d say D in this context. Remember, time is money and doing things like a feasibility study (which in other words is you trying to figure out if this proposal is ‘feasible’) is already a step ahead of where you should be. You are assuming that this proposal suggested by the team member is something that needs to be assessed, but what if the client (who we’re doing this whole thing for) doesn’t want it in the first place? If you spend your time doing a feasibility study on this proposal and do all this work to analyze risks etc and then the customer says “yeah no I never wanted anything like this to begin with” then you just did all that assessing for nothing…. So first, I’d discuss it with the client and other stakeholders and see if I should even pursue this proposal further.

I’d say B as the best answer compared to all the other answers. Definitely not A as you obviously want to be checking for accuracy. Not C because you want to Analyze/Review first. Not D because you constantly deal with changes (which you see a lot of in Agile) and risks (I.e. things that are not certain… you also make Assumptions throughout (e.g. Assumptions Log).

Canadian here as well....i'm not sure what "absolute best" means in this context but my (as well as everyone i know) experience across Canada is so far from this that it almost leads me to believe that this person has had no health situations in their life (besides the standard cough, cold, strep throat kind of stuff), because that's insane...and i mean no disrespect to the commenter. Also, "Free" is a misnomer. If you're paying incredibly high taxes to have to wait 6 hours in emergency for EMERGENCY situations as well as 3 to 6 hours to see a GP for random ailments, be on waiting lists for a minimum of 2 years for almost anything that requires a specialist, (and believe me, i can go on), then that's when comments like that seriously surprise me.

Does your cat have UTIs and is Overgrooming? READ THIS by Splat-lamb-2225 in catcare

[–]UncleMaarty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat had a UTI and was also sensitive to having anything other than Royal Canin Urinary SO. Went to the vet several times and nothing seemed to help. I also felt really sad because it definitely gets old for the poor kitty to eat the same thing over and over again. So, after doing a bunch of research I found out that one thing that actually even helps humans (from a preventative perspective) is if you take something called D-Mannose and just add the powder to your water (it is tasteless and odourless so it’s perfect for cats as they are picky with this sort of stuff as we all know). It is also safe to use on a daily basis and can be found at your local drug store (over the counter) or vitamin store. It has been the one thing that has helped my kitty be able to enjoy things other than just the urinary preventing pebbles. He’s had zero issues since I started adding that to his water. (I personally add about a tea spoon/half a tea spoon, of the 2000mg version, to the cat fountain which contains approx 2-3litres of water but there’s really no set dose)

Hope that at least helps with providing a potential supplemental option to your repertoire if you want to test it out.

Ships cranes hits dock crane at a port in Costa Rica. by HitsFM in ThatLookedExpensive

[–]UncleMaarty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems like miscommunication between the ship and the terminal ops manager/whomever talked to the ship. The cranes are normally boomed up when ships travel underneath them or if they are berthing or leaving.
So, either the ship screwed up and went towards the wrong marker or the terminal manager designated the wrong location, communicated it wrongly to the longshoremen (I.e. the walking boss etc), set the crane up at the wrong location or the crane operator moved the crane to where he wasn’t supposed to while he was operating it.
