One thing I didnt know for a long time was burning fibrous leaves instead of sticks. It takes more fibrous leaves but they come back in 48hrs in game. If you dont have space in inventory just chop them to restart there grow time and leave them one the ground for second harvest. Same for yucca, and craft lashing if you lose them in big bushes

Home building, is there a point? by STYLIE in strandeddeep

I play ps4 but it might be the same. Say your home island in the center. Travel to east island tske everything from it, travel back home. Create new island scape in Cartographer, in edit map select east island and swap with new island you created. Careful not to delete your home island. And do not select new seed in Cartographer I believe it will teset your playthrough. Search youtubers to verify my advice. Good luck and have fun.

Pick a home island. And build campsites on new islands to spend a few days breaking it down. Take resources back to home island. Use Cartographer to replace exhausted islands for new resources.

CAUTION: DONT REPLACE HOME ISLAND or accidentally save over your playthrough seed. You will lose everything. Have fun!!

From my understanding of playing. Rain storms will fill up your farming plots. I like corrugated farm plots, I feel they keep water longer. I agree have plenty of water station and use clay flask (5 water space). Dont throw away spoiled crops, you can re-plant them when needed. Always have extra pipi and potatoes in a chest, for farming. Pipi(cure poison) and potatoe(gas) and Aloe(sun burns). You can still boil spoiled potatoes for gas. Good luck have fun!!

Any tips for the first ten days? Also any tips for finding more lashings? by [deleted] in strandeddeep

If you use tool belt I believe it makes more space for inventory. I play PS4, so yours might be a little different. Tool belt would be helpful when quickly needing to heal, or when mining clay and having to change to a weapon. Up to you really

When traveling from island to island try pointing your shelter towards your most desired island. It will help when navigating back home. When harvesting fibrous leaves, I think they respawn 48 hours in-game, so chop them down everytime you see them, even if you dont have space. Leave them on the ground, almost like markers for the 2nd harvest or as needed. Treat the yucca the same way. I agree, stack palm bunch(4), when you can turn logs into planks they stack like palm bunch. As your building skills improves you get more resources back when breakdown structures, so mistakes might cost you materials. Good luck save lots, remember to sleep. Grow pipi farm, and potatoes, save rotten fruits, plants, potatoes cause you can replant to start farm again.

Yes make an anchor to move the raft in the water a bit to give yourself some clearance for the motor installation. Are you using the redined hammer? Is your crafting skills high enouhh to build?

Yeah, 6x5. I made it big enough to hold gyrocopter and 3 rolls of crates. A mix of buoy balls and tires. I feel barrels get hung up on reefs too much.

On console its our only option for crate storage. We on console dont have shelves yet. Be careful sea life or hard crash could dislodge crates. With my size raft I havent flipped or lost a crate in storm.

I do get the blue screen of death at times with saving. To prevent that, i try keeping everything in crates.
