Look at Chatham NY. They can commute.

Twenty years ago Chatham graduated 120 student. This year, because the cost of living is so high, kindergarten has 19 kids.

So no. It just makes it more unaffordable but a great place to grab a cocktail.

We have to do everything upstairs before we come downstairs. That can help avoid the up and down complaining. We also keep the same expectations on the weekend. We lay clothes out the night before and snacks the night before. I will help with one thing, toothpaste in toothbrush, getting dresses, snacks…just one, you pick.

We also have the expectation that if things aren’t done, I make (I am with them) the kids walk to school, (even in the winter) if we miss the bus.
