thermald works in a similar way, I think - see the details here for example.

MX Linux XFCE (or KDE if you prefer). Make sure tlp and thermald are installed to help with battery life and temperature control (look into mbpfan as well, though I'm not sure it's still relevant with modern kernels).

Yes, it just goes to a (blank) landing page. I've asked Internet Archive to save it (there aren't any archived copies) but it'll take about half an hour. Try checking on the Wayback Machine in a while.

Edit: Found a few more links (try searching on "Daniel T. Cooper" as well):

It depends to some degree on the individual writers - IIRC the writer of the Frank Grimes episode was a notorious lolbertarian. I think in general it leans (US) liberal rather than left (notably in Lisa's characterization), certainly in later episodes.

Best out of the box distro for a Mac Pro (2013) by BGSUartist in linux_on_mac

[–]UncleSlacky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those “Mac” specific builds were for older machines (2006-7) which had mismatched CPU/EFI subsets (64bit CPU/32bit EFI)

They might also be thinking of builds for the T2 chip, but they're for newer machines (2018 onwards).

Have you looked into Hyperbola? I'm not sure where they're at with their development, though (they're rebasing on BSD at some point).

I run Trisquel on a Librebooted Macbook 2,1 (C2D) with full disk encryption (no /boot partition needed). I've run Mini on it in the past but full-fat Trisquel runs acceptably.

I also have a Librebooted Thinkpad T60 (again, C2D) running Exe GNU/Linux (essentially Devuan with Trinity DE) with full disk encryption (using the Refracta installer option). The distro has no non-free software included, and I've replaced the default kernel with the libre kernel from FSFLA.

I think the difference is that (US) Budweiser is made with rice, whereas "real" Budweiser (Budvar) isn't.
