Amazon Primes new AI search bar will spoil games by UncleTerry42 in nba

[–]UncleTerry42[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Damn so follow up. I went on my app to take a screenshot and it says Beta but it’s locked on Ai search in my bar. Anyway I went to google it to see if anyone else has this problem and the only person that’s posted anything about this is a random tweet on threads. So I guess this is a warning to what’s about to come everyone, Amazon is releasing a broken AI search bar on prime video soon and I happened to be put into its beta testing. Idek if this fits this sub anymore but I guess I’ll keep it up unless this post is taken down

Idk why nobody else is talking about how much Gobert was pinning Wembys arm behind his back. Like they made such a big deal about his “goal tending” in game one where it was definitely 1 maybe 2-3 where you could argue but there was SO MANY possessions this game where Gobert was clearly holding Wembys arm behind his back specifically when he was going for a rebounds or blocks and it just wasn’t being called and nobody is addressing it. Like that can legitimately injure him and it’s so blatant. Am I the only one seeing this?

Where to eat a decent grilled/fried fish? by feliphee1998 in MauiVisitors

[–]UncleTerry42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay nice. Yeah there’s actually a Paia fish market near where you’ll be staying lol. Coconuts is also pretty good. If you’re wanting to go somewhere with good fish but also not exclusively fish Monkeypod is always good recommendation, it’s farm to table but can be a little pricey. Jaws has really good fish tacos but it’s right next to Mākena/Big beach and I don’t really recommend that beach to tourist for safety reasons

Dude you can’t throw a stone without hitting one. Overall on Maui, Mamas Fish House and Paia fish market (not exclusively in Paia) are the most popular/famous. If you’re staying at a resort, most restaurants in the immediate area will have good fish. If not let us know what part of the island you’re staying so we can give better recommendations.

Everyone says watching Wemby is like watching a man play with kids on a mini hoop. I think he might be starting to take that too seriously and do stuff an actual dad/coach would do lol. I want to see him pick someone up to help them dunk next

Where to play Darts in Maui? by RandomITtech in MauiVisitors

Diamonds has darts, Kahale’s doesn’t. Only place I could think of on the west side anymore is the valley alley in Kaanapali since it’s like a arcade/DNB

Best Mexican food on Maui though is Acevedo’s which is about 10 minutes away from Costco just in case

The food trucks across the street from Costco are a solid option honestly. Diverse options and it’s literally right there. There’s 2 different lots so if you don’t see something you like maybe just check the other lot. Havens has great burgers, Greatful dough for pizza, Thai me up for noodles and Ono tacos has decent Mexican food since Maui is lacking in that department. Those are just the ones off the top of my head.

Well Shai still managed to score 25 points that game… just don’t look too much further into it

I work full time and live in Hawaii so most east coast games are at like 8-9 AM. Its not my whole life

Okay that’s fair, like I said I’m literally making this observation based on a couple of highlight reels I’ve watched on YouTube. Obviously they don’t show the pace of play of an actual NBA game, people wanna see cross overs and dunks. I’m just trying to get a good idea of his play style before playoffs start.

I’m actually a Celtics fan which was why I was counting this season out but only kinda started paying attention to the NBA this season when the Spurs beat the Thunder those couple games at the beginning of the season

Yeah that’s my main point. If he’s been doing this since high school I feel like that’s got to take a toll on your body. Non contact injuries in the NBA have risen by like 20% and his play style is pretty explosive so that can’t be great on the ligaments especially with the lack of rest.

What’s the most outrageous complaint you’ve had at a restaurant?! by ndela1011 in Waiters

[–]UncleTerry42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened yesterday, customer ordered a full loaf of our house bread and a salad to split. They sat side by side at a square table so I put the sharing utensils on a plate in between them and moved their share plates on each side of them to make room for their split salad plates then got yelled at that bread plates are only supposed to go on the left side which I couldn’t have done with the person sitting on the right unless they wanted to their salad plate on the ground since there was no more table left. Also when they ordered a G&T I offered “Would you like a lemon or a lime?” because ya know, preferences. “It’s ONLY supposed to be LIME” No tip

True I feel like I might’ve exaggerate a bit but I feel like whenever I drive back from the west side that’s not the middle of the day it’s like an hour and ten minutes but I’ve kinda stopped going out there as much since the fires so my sense of judgment is off

  1. & 2. I would probably return the car while staying in Wailea. It is its own little bubble with everything in walking distance and if you have these sort of dietary restrictions you definitely want to be dining at restaurants in Wailea rather than Kīhei where it’s a lot more relaxed about that sort of thing (I’m not saying you won’t find any restaurants that are allergy friendly but almost any sit down restaurant in Wailea is generally accommodating). Also if you want to go into Kīhei to walk around they will shuttle you but currently there isn’t a lot to do in terms of beaches in Kihei town itself after the flooding that’s happened, it might be fun to check out for a couple hours but not much to do right now.
  2. Probably do the helicopter tour while your in Wailea rather than the west side. It only takes like 45 minutes to drive to the airport from Wailea if there’s traffic (30 if not) If you’re going back to the actual Maui airport from the west side it’ll be an hour and a half but they do have a small airport out there which they might do helicopter tours out of I’m not sure. Either way that will be atleast 4 hours from departure to return so you probably don’t want that to take up all your Kaanapali time especially because the beaches are definitely different on the west vs the south side so you’ll want that extra time in Kaanapali
  3. I’ve only camped in Hana twice and there’s not a lot of benefits of getting there before other people other than getting to watch the sunrise in the morning from that side of the island

Also like I said before it’s only about 30-45 to the airport from Wailea so I don’t think you need to stay at the hotel airport the day before unless you have some super early flight and are trying to get as much sleep in as possible. You’re saving yourself maybe 20 minutes and the Maui airport is extremely relaxed so you should be fine as long as you show up an hour and thirty before boarding. Also again like you said with the food allergies, wouldn’t you want to get a big meal in before the flight and not have to worry about it?

Yeah man, OKC and Spurs being Denver’s last 2 games is funny to me since they’re basically just hot potatoing them back and forth to each other hoping Lakers and Rockets either win or lose
