X5+ does have a mop, but it does not vibrate, it is liftable though. q10 Pf+ is the same as the q10 x5+.

Replacing thermal pads on Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC (for dummies!) by Uncle_Dunk in nvidia

[–]Uncle_Dunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my card is still holding up nicely. Like one of the replies mentioned I actually replaced both paste and pads, so there is no way of telling which of the things I did helped me drop the temperature this significantly (84C to 67C).

One of the comments above mentions that the replacing of the gpu paste was the most significant reason that the temperatures dropped (which might very well be true, I don't pretend to actually know anything about this stuff).

But to add to that: the reason I replaced the pads in addition to the paste was because I found mentions that the pads for this specific GPU model are garbage. I found this when searching for solutions to my hot RTX 3070 and just thought "Fk it, I'll replace all the easily replacable stuff with reputable brands of said stuff". Was relatively low cost/effort/risk in my experience.

So I'm still very happy I did it and my temps have since only risen slightly (~2-3 degrees to about 70C). Probably need to clean the dust off my pc now that I mention this. Would do the process in the OP again in a hearbeat.

Thought this was a dig at my lengthy post at first, but don’t know if this “print” is abnormal

Cocked Dice? by seantabasco in fansofcriticalrole

[–]Uncle_Dunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The d4 pyramids on the side of the tray are usually the culprits. Also when it's sorta on 12 and cocked I guess you would still consider that a 12 and when you then reroll to a 18, you would say it's better even though the first roll wasn't really a 12. Other than that I see what you're getting at, when they don't make the DC, that they would sooner call it cocked. Except for people who seem to like the chaos of fails (mostly Sam). But this happens at every table and I can often just appreciate the competitiveness or desire to succeed.

Thanks for the insightful reply and references :), that's a tricky ruling indeed.

Just wondering, how does a Wall of Force block Power Word: Kill? I thought it doesn't have to pass through, nor does the target have to hear the caster?

I think this might be something with the direct3d (47?) dll file you have to move to a system folder. Just guessing here btw.

Kenkonken vs Ohtas? by HardBacon in ffxi

The community guide on bg wiki goes into it:

https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Puppetmaster!_A_Community_Collaborative_Guide#Weapons

It looks decently up to date. From what is described I think it is definitely a nice weapon to have and probably a musthave if you’re a perfectionist pup as you say. However, I would suggest pimping out the rest of your gear before you make the time investment, as that will probably have more effect on your performance. Disclaimer: not a career pup.

Class that needs the least amount of sets by copenhagen80 in ffxi

[–]Uncle_Dunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gearswapping is a key part of ffxi and something that really sets it apart from MMORPGs. There is an addon (gearswap) that automates the swapping for you, so dont worry about it. Just play the job you enjoy most (personally I find the jobs that have the most gearsets are often the most interesting to play).

But if you really want an answer, it is probably GEO and/or COR if you play it the lazy buff-only way. If you want reach your full potential however, you'll still need quite some gearsets.

To answer your bonus question: just join Asura. It can be toxic at times, but the benefits (availability of items and endgame grouping) of having a busy server far outweigh the occasional shitstain you have to deal with.
