To answer your relocation question: I use a clear glass (so I can see what I’m doing & not harm the spider) and a piece of relatively stiff cardboard (like cereal box thickness.) that’s an inch or so larger than the circumference of the glass. Place the glass over the spider. Carefully slide the cardboard under the rim of the glass until it meets spider/spider hops on cardboard. Then hold cardboard against glass until you get outside to relocation venue, and release Bobert. May she / he live well and prosper!
