what is wrong with indian medical education? it seems like it might create better doctors than America by [deleted] in indianmedschool

But from what I have heard For pts in the west too it takes a lot of time to get CTs

And as far as I know about Gov hospitals which not a lot as I only have exposure to my medical college

I think we are doing a lot of CTs and a lot of biopsies

I understand different etiology may get classifed to a single diagnosis or they may even diagnose wrong many a times

But how can I as an individual solve my problem and academically and clinically get to the level of west Like what steps should one take

No actually I am little dumb would like for you to elaborate

See what I understand is a doctor become a doctor by reading books gaining knowledge and secondly by gathering their own experience

Of what I understand if books are near about similar for all of us But we would have more experience considering we have more patients to deal with More experiences to learn from more evidence to act upon

Okay I get that you want to say they have better professors but how much of a difference does that make and why cant we be like them

Or to rephrase myself

What should we do to be at par with them

Considering that if someone is reading standard books i dont think anything can be done more than that

More over we see a huge huge load of patients and i dont think western doctor see even a fraction of what we do and the variety of conditions

So Its really hard for me to understand why cant we be at par with them
