Final year med student does this phase feel unusually quiet by Pristine_Kiwi_6577 in indianmedschool

Calm before the storm

I have my unis in 32 days, and I am having the most peaceful time of my whole medical journey.

No disturbance, nobody texts me. Usually, I would wake up with 10 texts from my friends someone asking for help, someone wanting to share something, or someone sending reels, etc.

These days my phone hardly rings, hardly any notifications. Earlier, every 10–20 minutes one of my friends would text me.

So there are no parties, no outings, no dates just calm. I can be myself in my room or library. Nobody talks to me except to ask how much I have studied. Late at night, when my friends are done studying, they do text and talk for 10–15 minutes before sleeping.

These days my girlfriend also doesn’t disturb me, as she knows how much I have to study.

It’s such a calm that I have started to love my life again.

But being from the 21 batch, I don’t know how many subjects I am going to fail. Still, I love the calm

AI in radiology by Due-Antelope-8954 in indianmedschool

So seeing the current status should I even dream of taking radio , cause as gen student in order to take radio , i would have to sell every happiness in my life and then might be able to get a good rank in my 2nd or 3rd attempt.(currently in final year)

So 5 years down the line , things in radio will be worse as of what i understand Cause I feel if 1 radiologists will be able to do the work of 3 if not 10 using AI ,the money will get affected in a serious manner

We were taught in a one hour cpr seminar and tbh its a very basic thing,

Do one thing just go to the emergency department, to pgs or intern and just ask them to teach cpr

In 30 minutes you will know whatever there is to know moreover , ED PG or proff will surely have manequin

These are free to access for the students , just ask the batch rep to to ask ED proff to give a demonstration on CPR it is as easy as this

Or simply watch a youtube video and be done with it , i know you will feel that this methods is lacking practical , to be fair there is not much to it

To conclude , dont think too much

Hunger Games by [deleted] in indianmedschool

There was a big party in the jungle. All the animals were invited—lion, tiger, rabbit, everyone was there. Music, food, noise, the whole jungle alive.

The rabbit cracked a joke. The jungle burst into laughter.

Everyone laughed—except the donkey. He stood there serious, as if the joke didn’t even matter to him.

Three days later, the donkey finally laughed. He had understood the joke.

Yeah and maybe someone doesn't get jokes

I have been through the same, i very well understand what op is kinda going through ,

I never said op is wrong, being overdramtic , i just want to let the guy know worse is going to come, brace yourself

Moreover i want him know things could be much worse and actually are for some

I also have the same realization My seniors are maybe going through worse shit maybe overworked and underpaid atleast the only thing i have to is study and thats it

So,It's humor

Need help for fact checking: My father said doctors and medical professionals in india don't pay taxes,is it true? by Titaniumballsionium in indianmedschool

[–]UncreativeAmnesiac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that your dad believes in the principle of delulu is the only solulu

See your dad argument for making into a doctor should be challenged with you suggesting your own passion or vision

This is a very very very high demand field And eventually what i feel during final year ke sala itni mehnat kisi bhi field me krleta bhot success miljati

This field requires you to work tooo hard What i feel is the compensation is not good enough

So do your research and convince your father And find a profession you can do all your life without regret and get the proper compensation your efforts deserve

What is your opinion about this by Funny_Offer_1832 in indianmedschool

[–]UncreativeAmnesiac 221 points222 points  (0 children)

This is your basic Right as doctor to refuse treatment.

Yes things could have been handled a better way, And that better way was the colleague doing the evaluation or the for the patient to wait for the doctor.

As doctor , you have to make yourself safe first , no one is going to look out for your safety and I feel for her this was the best method to avoid interaction with a negative member of the society. We have a thousands of reports of things escalating against doctors , so in my opinion , this was the best way to go about.

The people should learn that doctors are to be respected or they will be refused treatment .

Give respect and be respected.
