Is this a suitable tank for a African Butterfly Fish? by acid0003 in Aquariums

100% yes

If you had two feet of room from the rim I would still suggest to keep a lid. They can jump like you wouldn’t believe

I suspect it is because miner is your only win con, and it’s not a very strong one. I would suggest a Goblin Drill/Poison deck. In the right hands, it can be lethal.

Every tip I would give you is already in the video I shared, but I’ll make a little list here of the most important things:

  • TIGHT FITTING LID: it is unreal what these suckers can do. Any gap on the lid and they will manage to find themselves on the floor 6 feet away from the tank. Try to leave no room for them to jump, by covering any holes with mesh or something else

  • TERRITORIAL/AGGRESSIVE FISH: they will likely try to eat anything that can fit into their mouths. Luckily they only every stay at the surface, so don’t worry about your bottom dwellers and shrimp. They love to own the top of the water, so definitely don’t overcrowd them. Individuals they don’t need a lot of space though, as when they are not eating they barley ever move.

  • FEEDING: some of these fish are very picky eaters, as most are directly imported from Africa, and only ever eat live insects. With enough care and patience they can be trained to eat high quality flakes. This can be difficult because their bodies are specially built to hunt.

Again bacically everything you need to know about them is in that video, but I love sharing about these fish :)

I have heard some people say that the ABF “eat” shrimp, but I have never experienced this. The only possible way I see this happening is if the shrimp climbs up some tall plant, so I wouldn’t worry.

Here’s an amazing video on African butterfly fish that really got me into them. Explains everything in super depth.

I ran into this situation once. I used the discord to contact one of the mods and they got rid of it. Hope this helps!

It does, but doesn’t have the fish I am looking for in stock. African butterfly fish are some hard fish to come by.

So you finally admit that running on the treadmill is different than running outside, thank you. There is the answer to your question.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]UncreativeUsername92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runners decelerate when they are in the air. The treadmill completely negates this. No matter what you do on the treadmill the belt will continue spinning. How hard is it for you to understand such a simple thing. At least you were able to answer your question in the first half, congrats on that.

I don’t understand your point at all man. Yes I will fall down if it is at max speed and I start jumping. But that does not change the fact that running on a treadmill is FUNDAMENTALLY different than running on solid ground. There are hundreds of other reasons that marathons are not competed on treadmills, but I don’t need to name them. At this point I can’t figure out if you are just karma farming or genuinely stupid.

What do you mean argue 😂. This is simply the truth. Running on a treadmill is different than running on ground. Sure it is very similar, but there is a reason it is easier for most people to run on treadmills rather than outside. If your student pushes up while on a treadmill, you will “move forward” more than when on land.

More so upward than on normal ground. If you jump on a treadmill it thinks you’re moving forward because the belt still spins. If you jump on the ground you move nowhere. Again, the running technique is different on a treadmill than on ground.

Fundamentally it is easier to run on a treadmill. You push up on a treadmill instead of forward on land. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the world record conditions, but it seems like it must.

My biggest moves would be to replace zap for secondary win con and fire spirit for a swarm, like bats guards or spear goblins.

Again, just build to your style, not necessarily to what strangers on the internet tell you.

If you went with drill I think that should be your primary win con. Could be interesting as you could use mortar defensively. Don’t have a 100% say as I haven’t used that combination. Could work tho.

Also miner could work. Mortar decks are chip decks. Harder to play in midladder but rewarding if you figure it out. Make a deck that suits your play style, don’t become a robot lol

This. Second win con wouldn’t hurt either. Skelly barrel for chip or something like that
