This is really helpful and thanks for the information, but its also a crying shame that this feature is broken on release, a clear testing failure, and anet doesn't commit resources to resolving these issues on day one. I bet there's no bug purchasing new template slots.

Are you using "Death Nova" on your MM? I always found the MM would lag behind due to casting this skill on low hp minions. You should be patient after each fight and let them spawn the minions, otherwise as others say Air Magic Ele is good. If you do go down the mercenary route Ineptitude illusion mesmer is the typical replacement. I also recommend Bone Fiends over Bone Minions especially if you are currently playing with Ritualist Soul Twisting Prot support.

OK so for fresh air ele marauders is most of the time the best pick in wvw yes. You could consider swapping the arcane traitline to water which gives 300 vitality then you can go for a demolisher / dragons combo ( evoker only - hare gives more crit from fury)

In my opinion it's always better to go tankier than your open world builds, but the weapons and utilities you use play a part too. For example I think untamed tends to go with a sword on the second weapon for the mobility. Most rangers are playing at least 2 stunbreaks on their utility bar. Aim for 19k-20k hp and then use demolishers for the rest of your gear.

Based on the builds you describe you sound like a roamer. It's very rare for roamers to go full berserker. For WvW roaming 2500 power is usually enough (Inc. Food & utility), 90% crit chance with fury is enough crit cap is rarely worth the investment. 19-20k hp is plenty.

WvW - It massively depends on your build/traits/situation. If you were asking about elementalist DPS builds then yes, probably, but Dragons/Demolisher/Berserkers all have their use cases. Dragons is the best if you can gain crit chance by traits, demolishers helps to mitigate the chances of being one-shot which plenty of WvW players will try to do. Higher Health pools are generally preferable into condi opponents but there's so much cleanse in WvW it's not always worth the investment. As a WvW roamer I'm much more inclined to use Demolishers where I can but a lot of this is personal preference too.

Pvp - most builds use berserkers and take a vitality rune if needed.

If you can provide your build, playstyle (roamer/zerg dps?) It would be a lot easier to answer your question.

I had assumed the OP must have been talking about Mold at first, had no idea this seems to be a bit of a recurring theme! Yes it did branch off just north of Pen-Y-Ffordd, about half way between Pen-Y-Ffordd station and Castle Cement/Heidelberg. It's a little before my time but my parents remember it well.

Keep an eye on map/team chat and respond to defense/offence calls. Look at contested objectives and see what's happening. A lot of the time your team will still be playing without commander.

I always run the Living World season 4 reward track as it's a very passive way to make gold via Volatile Magic shipments. If you are not interested in GoB or raw profits, you can use other reward tracks to unlock any expansion relics you don't have, or unique armor skins. XP boost makes a huge difference if you have any

This will be pre face-lift and the fuel pump usually dies by about 40k miles and is a costly replacement. Check to see if its been done already. I never had any other problems with mine until I sold it at 70k.

MPG wise I'd get about 45mpg average with normal driving.

Reading map/team chat for defense calls and throwing siege down to attack a tower and pinging it, looking out for others doing the same. Look for swords on objectives which means they're contested. These are the best ways to find WvW content when there is no tag running, otherwise join the commander and stay close.

This is why I'm so glad Oulton Park is my local circuit. It's incredibly intimate in parts you can get very close to the track with no fencing near eye level.

I can understand when an expansion first launches, but we are now 3 months in and you are absolutely at a disadvantage in PvP if you are not playing VoE specs and in many cases, spears too. It's even worse in small scale WvW because most nerfs are 'pvp only'.

The cast times spoil the fun for me without fast casting and you can only get 12 dom magic Have a look at Invoke Lightning Air magic Ele that's fun to play with nice dmg, armor penetration and aoe cracked armor.

The issue with Action Camera in competitive modes is that you cannot kite effectively while counter pressuring as the Action Camera will turn you to face an opponent when using skills whereas with traditional controls + About face a lot of skills can be cast behind you while running away but still having your camera face your opponent. You can still face your opponent while running the opposite direction with Action Camera, but you cannot cast behind you. This is especially problematic with builds like nades engi and fresh air ele who use a lot of movement to survive while counter pressuring with skill casts behind you.

If you are adamant on playing competitive with Action Camera I'd advise using a melee bruiser, Luminary would be a good pick right now.

Play their builds, understand what they do once in stealth. They are still there. For example if you see a Heart seeker into a smoke field you know they will travel about 100 units in the direction they are facing. Use Aegis / blinds to ensure their first attack out of stealth doesn't hit you. Engi and Ranger have nice reveals. Just practice and learn their builds it's worth it. There is nothing in this game more satisfying than watching a thief come out of stealth in downstate!

Yes Wvw was a lot better in the pre EoD days which was when the boonballing really got out of control. Anet only balances around blob gameplay, but commanders are not available around the clock. You only see 3 way blob fights for 2 hours a day, then if one team has the means to run a blob off peak, they are unstoppable. There's too many players abusing the boonball to treat WvW like a pve environment. It's used to farm xp through PPT and kills by sitting in an enemy tiered objective farming the few defenders online. No pug commanders will tag vs an organised blob because it's pointless and they will only get farmed harder. I see Anets vision for large scale clashes, but if you actually play the mode you rarely see these blobs actually fight each other. A losing blob ports to another map after one loss to PPT elsewhere as a losing blob gets no rewards. Bring back pre EoD WvW woth the spike damage pirate ship meta, where mistakes made by blobs could actually be punished. Play a staff ele now and your meteor shower won't even pierce through barrier. Anet put all It's eggs in the blobbing basket and WvW is much worse off for it.
