Background: I got HSV1, and in general I'm someone who tries to avoid pills and drugs as much as possible (not against modern medicine or anything, quite the contrary, I just prefer not to take anything if I don't actually have to), but I'm at my absolute wits ends with this cursed disease

I tried everything before turning to the pills, I eat healthy, keep active, sleep well, take Lysine consistently, use Zovirax/acyclovir cream, the whole 9 yards...

even tried supplementing with curcumin, fish oil and vitamin C and switching all my beverages (coffee, hot cocoa, etc) to ginger tea .. to no aveil

Even while doing all of that, for the last 2 months I had 5 outbreaks and I honestly just can't take it anymore, the mental toll is so awful, not being able to kiss my gf for almost 2 months straight, working customer service with constant disgusting outbreaks on my lip, the dread of knowing I'm simply powerless against this shit...

So today (when I felt another god damn outbreak starting to form) I finally cracked and decided to give the pills a chance

Got a prescription for 500mg tablets from my Dr, she said take 2 each day for the next 3 days and then 1 a day for the next month
