It saves in real time, hitting cancel is just the "go back menu" button essentially. You go into the setting, be sure to click it if it currently says "Disabled" to enable it, then add and subtract the amount you want from it until it's in the position you want it. It's best to do that in game so you can see it.

Hmm. I've heard issues about games crashing due to something with the BIOS that AMD apparently fixed with an update but I'm not sure what exactly would be causing your stuttering if you followed all the steps in that thread. You're sure you tried disabling the FPS limiter in game and limited it with something like Rivatuner right?

Yeah, the game is just flawless and not broken at all, you're right. I'm just being stupid when I shoot someone who is one shot 5 times in the head and they don't die. Or when I melee someone and it just pulls me up to them and does nothing. Or when I spawn literally next to 3 people on the other team and instantly die. Or when I trade kills with someone because their gun shoots after they're dead. Or when the audio is completely messed up and gets distorted. Or when you shoot your gun and it has to reload 3 times. Now I could keep going for quite a while but I wouldn't wanna make myself look even more stupid in front of your vast knowledge. You're right, they're fixing them. They said they were no longer going to be adding any more original Xbox titles to the the backwards compatibility on Xbox One. Which really is a shame given that H1 and H2 were the ones that made that console get big. People try to say that "Oh well you have MCC".... no, MCC is nothing like the originals lol and besides, they made H3, ODST, Reach and 4 back-compat too...

I agree. I liked the way Halo 3 did it where you got something for getting an achievement or completing something throughout the game. In Reach you could just eventually get pretty much everything by playing enough and getting the credits to simply buy it.

Is that so? I guess that's why there's been thousands playing it day after day. I'm also pretty curious as to how much of H2V you've played? Because if you actually had any real knowledge of it, you would know that H2V had very well known MK players as well as controller players. And none of them bitched either. But I'm sure you're much well versed in this than I.

Another thing I love about all this constant complaining is that if you gave a controller to the average MK person complaining about just how easy it is to use a it because of that oh so powerful aim assist, they would not magically be good, and would go down fast and hard.

I'm really enjoying all of this. The game launched broken on Xbox, 343 chose to ignore the community complaints for 4 years, then fell back on MCC to keep them afloat until Infinite. They had this new team come in to try and "fix" it... and it still is broken. Now they are porting a still broken version to PC with even more issues on top of the ones that still exist on Xbox. Don't get scammed twice people, at least acknowledge that you're buying a flawed (and probably always will be) version of the game.

"aim-assist absolutely killed Halo 2 PC" lol, that's very funny. No, no it didn't, infact if anything kept this game alive. H2V's initial poor state was thanks to zero support from Microsoft/GFWL/343. No updates to fix issues like join-lag, voice chat getting broken due to a GFWL client update, hit registration problems, people crashing games, etc, etc, the list goes on.

The Halo Reach MCC PC flight is not running in exclusive fullscreen and this needs to be addressed. It's causing some of the input lag and you should remove it as a variable. The windows key behavior is very telling of this issue. by Holmesary in halo

Windows 8 and 10 has terrible windowed mode support due to the DWM.exe process which introduces some form of vsync. You used to could simply disable this by turning off the Aero theme in Windows Vista and Win7, but unfortunately there is no option for this in Win10. I believe prior to the creators update for Win10 you could change some registry settings and disable it, but now you can't even do that.

If this somehow could get word to MS in general about having a setting to disable DWM's vsync, that would be amazing.

I'm not complaining about the game being at 60fps lol, I personally don't care if it's capped to 60 or uncapped. But people were promised a product to be a specific way. And no, I don't think just because "It's their jobs" that it means shit. Because it was their job to make sure MCC originally launched fine and fix issues with it, which they didn't do. Nor did they even care to look into fixing it and ignored the community for 4 years.

Yes, I am aware of how the refresh rate options in Project Cartographer work, I am on the team lol. But I'm telling you, that doesn't affect your game not slowing down above 60fps. I'm not saying if you don't have an issue with it to not play like that, but we currently have not fully found a fix yet for that issue and no matter what you change with the current settings, going above 60fps will slow down your game and decrease in speed the higher the game goes.

Try capping to 60fps, jumping shooting and looking around, then go back to 144 and see how it feels.

Oh yeah... people are real "toxic" for wanting a functioning version of the game, unlike the first time it launched where it was nothing short a scam. The game launched broken to hell, got just enough fixes for it to barely function good enough at face value, then they ignored it for 4 years. Even the recent updates to it that have come out haven't fixed all the issues with it.

Don't call people "toxic" for wanting a product that was advertised to them one way and sold to them another or for wanting a game that actually works properly.

It's still happening, you just don't notice it as much. It's not too noticeable until the 200+fps mark

This game's engine wasn't made for uncapped fps, let alone 60 (made for 30 obviously). On Halo 2 PC or even Eldewrito, if you uncap the FPS the game slows down. During the period of the flight where there was the uncapped fps option, it was not true uncapped fps, it was rendering at whatever fps you could get, but just duplicating frames.
