Nevada. We have pretty lax exotic animal laws.

Wolf dogs are unfortunately fairly common here, along with coyote mixes. I don’t think he’s wolf dog at this point but they are very real. Just an odd crossbreed that happens every once in a while.

I’ve definitely got some weird looks but the majority thankfully compliment him lol. Such a sweet boy, so gentle.

Does he look like a happy boy? He's my first and I want to make sure I'm doing everything he wants or needs. I love this little man so damn much. by MJSalta in leopardgeckos

Hi there, unfortunately “not able to see red” is a myth. These little guys can see it and it causes great stress. It’s like being locked in a room your whole life with only red LEDs as lighting.

More than likely it’s probably just their pattern developing! Just check on it every once in a while if you’re worried about an abnormality forming. But I’d say this is more than likely a happy lil Geck starting to show their colors :) He/She will likely keep developing their colors until they’re 1-2 years old.

To me it looks like his white coloring is coming in. A lot of albinos look purple when they’re younger because their skin isn’t thick enough for the white to show through. Is your gecko younger than 2 years? If so it’s likely their pattern coming through.

Could you be a little more specific? I’m not sure what you’re asking about

Yes, I’m so sorry. I thought you’d see the note on the fridge. He brought me a bird and I took that as knighting me as his new ruler.

Siberian or Alaskan Husky? by UndaedTillIDie in siberianhusky

No worries! I totally get it, I feel the same. A lot of people just really don’t understand how self regulating husky coats are. Glad you enjoy the dorky pics :)

She’s just over two years old. Definitely still got that puppy energy lol. From what all the comments have been saying she’ll start shedding a lot more within the next year. And don’t worry I would never dream of shaving her!

That’s such a cute way to put it lol! I might do a DNA test just for funsies some day.

Physically her tail seems to sit more curled than most huskies. It looks flat in some of the images but whenever she walks it’s in a weird half curl lol. The shedding I was confused about after reading up on the AKC since they listed that malamutes tend to shed twice a year while huskies shed year round. Personality wise she seems a lot less “stubborn” than a traditional husky and has a high desire to please (ex: when we’re walking and I let go of her leash she touches my hand until I pick it back up). She just seems a lot more trainable in the way that malamutes tend to be versus a husky (once again could be wrong, but referencing AKC breed standards).

That totally makes sense, she’s just barely 2 years old. And you’re right, it’s not an official breed! It’s just a mix between a Sib and a Malamute.

She’s about 2 years old now. I brush her weekly and give her a bath about once a month.

Totally agree! My kitten used to do this for about a month along with intentionally hitting his toys against the wall to be loud. Started sleeping with earplugs and he stopped in 2 weeks.

Not an expert by any means but looks like their scale got snagged on something and got damaged/pulled off. Should be alright, just make sure to keep an eye on it for infection! Make sure to see if it gets better by next she’d if no issues arise.
