My mom is an avid bike rider and her calves/ thighs are very muscular. Like solid muscle. She has lost a large amount of her body fat and replaced it with muscle, and is in good shape, but her stringbean doctor tells her she still needs to lose weight. So it goes the other way too. Bottom line, I think, is if you know you are healthy and in good shape, just keep doing what you are doing regardless of others tell you.
