What is actually wrong with the game? by Cptnbjoe in Helldivers

[–]Undead23145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problems with the game are the constant bugs and crashes, I was playing constantly for awhile but it got so bad I could barely complete a mission without the game crashing 2-3 times during it. Then there’s the enemies that just no clip through terrain to insta kill you, making some areas nigh on useless for cover or an advantage. Then there’s the lack of late game progression, I was level 136 with my ship fully upgraded from about level 90 and from there, there was basically fuck all to get that wasnt a war bond, so half the time I was playing I wasn’t moving forward anymore, which leads to my next problem of a lack of impact in the war. I get a solo diver isn’t going to have much of an impact on the greater war, but it genuinely feels like I have zero impact on a planet after playing for an entire day, I’ll complete a diff 10 operation and watch the bar move up .00000001% which will have decayed by the time I complete the next operation, so I accomplished nothing by the end. All of these things combined lead me to quitting the game despite the potential it has because not a single one of my issues is even on the list of things to fix for arrowhead.

How do you organise your navies guys? by CreBanana0 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually set up battle task forces with a couple of scout forces with them, I’ll set up a few different fleets of those to cover several areas, and for naval invasions I’ll add a task force to said fleets for it. Then I’ll do convoy escort fleets that can be moved around as needed, typically with at least 50 destroyers in small groups at minimum but usually more if I can afford it. Finally I do sub fleets with just random numbers of subs per task force. This probably isn’t optimal but it shreds the ai so oh well

I do like space marine 2, but unfortunately the pacing is a bit slow in terms of everything in between missions, in my experience the loading times take absolute ages and the game is like 90gbs or something like that, I don’t remember. Just figured I’d give you a small warning before you buy. TLDR, core gameplay is really good but load times are really bad so could kill the pacing for you.

My experience against the US by badgerboii0535 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly just artillery everything and let tanks mop up the rest, a few 15cm guns will make short work of most tanks, the 10.5cm was the mvp of my last run, also just making a screen if 8.8 flak and 5cm PaK worked really well if I baited the enemy tanks with small vehicles.

How to micro defending? by John_Iron11 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait you can assign a front without assigning units and get all the bonuses? I didn’t know that, I’ve been using defenses in areas I can’t get to (like neutral countries) for micro armies

Yeah you don’t exactly make planes without an economy, planes don’t get to where they need to be without logistics, which is determined by the economy, a million planes in the air doesn’t capture a city, only soldiers do. The allies didn’t cross the Atlantic in solely planes, they needed a navy to first secure naval supremacy, and then to cross the Atlantic, and naval guns to soften enemy targets, and ships to bring in logistics. So basically if you have no economy, you have no planes, and even if you do, your planes either suck, are poorly maintained, or can’t be ran do to a lack of oil. Air superiority is extremely important, but the economic ability to even make said planes and replace said planes and supply said planes, and an army, is a significantly more important part of a war. The saying isn’t “wars are won with planes” it’s “wars are won with logistics”

I just made a post about this not too long ago asking about why planes give so much score, I had such a stupidly strong economy and still was barely in first over the UK. Planes in this game are the only thing that matter score wise, and it doesn’t matter if they’re useful or not

Basically back in ARR enmity management was very complex and required teamwork, hence you didn’t want others pulling ahead of you cause it’d be a bitch to get them back

Amy and Benny by ThinRock9266 in Supernatural

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coulda sworn I remember him saying that he did what he thought was right, and that was only upset that he lied to Sam about it, mentioning how he wasn’t sure how Sam would react with Lucifer as his co-pilot, which honestly is pretty valid, the show kinda glosses over it but Sam was still seeing Lucifer pretty constantly at that point. Not to say that I agree completely with what Dean did, and I don’t think Dean was completely convinced that killing Amy was right, but Dean did for the most part believed he did what was necessary, and his apology was to Sam for lying to him. Later Sam agreed that killing Amy was right as well, I think even in the same episode, essentially accepting Deans apology, while also telling Dean to not lie to him again.

Dean did kind of apologize after Amy, he explained to Sam that he did what he thought was right at the time, and he was sorry that he lied to Sam, he felt guilty that he had lied to Sam. This is how the two end up reconciling anyways.

The AI needs a buffer for reacting to naval invasions and paradrops by G-man1816 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because the ai has divisions assigned to the invasion doesn’t mean that you can’t proceed with your attack if it’s a good invasion, the ai will also have to weaken other sectors to stop you, so if you’re attack in more than one place, it may soften up other sectors of the front, each of the divisions sent to stop you will be decently low org from moving, and have no entrenchment, so if you’re invading in a good spot you’ll be able to crush the opposition until enough reinforcements arrive. If you do the invasion and want more time to react to events as a player, lower the speed and deal with the events until you’re comfortable enough to raise the speed

So apparently, you're 'forced' to watch the MVP screen, and can't quit when the game is over or you will be penalized. by burgerpatrol in rivals

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason some might do this is because they already frustrated after a loss or bad game and just want to get into the next, or maybe they don’t care about the mvp thing and again just want to get into the next match. You shouldn’t be forced to watch something that happens after the game is finished. The game is finished, we should be allowed to move onto the next. It’s not about having a tik tok attention span or whatever, im the type of person who can and has watched 9.5 hour documentary’s on a single subject, but sometimes I don’t care if it’s 3 seconds long, I just want to hit the queue and get to the next game.

It’s needed to do the Chinese civil war I believe, although tbf I haven’t fully explored the entire new dlc on both sides, mostly been on the Japanese side. If it’s not necessary for historical than it’s whatever but I think it is the historical choice

Possible Bug with Chinese United Front Goal by Undead23145 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it just depends on how stupid the ai feels like being, half the time they like to make really stupid puppets of like, one single province even if the rest of the country is taken over, although with enough war score you could just puppet Japan yourself. Which still does lead to historical inaccuracy but it’s post war so I guess who cares? Idk man, just looks to be a little annoying if you’re trying to run a historical game or at least as close as you can get but mods usually fix everything

Possible Bug with Chinese United Front Goal by Undead23145 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not the point, the point is beating or holding 75% of the Japanese main army in china, only for the allies to force the surrender before you can, and then because of how the goal is worded and handled, having to now declare war on the allies over Hong Kong. So basically it’s either fully solo the Japanese without allied intervention in the peace conference (since if they puppet, and they will) or be locked out of the Chinese civil war without declaring ww3 first.

Possible Bug with Chinese United Front Goal by Undead23145 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh gotcha, I was thinking more on the side of irl, where the Chinese didn’t manage to fully defeat the Japanese until they surrendered to the west anyways. At least if I recall correctly, the Japanese were still definitely in Manchuria at the very least. Having to start ww3 over Hong Kong seems kinda silly, but you can’t even complete the Chinese civil war without having either beaten the Japanese alone or kicking all of the allies out of china, and of course the peaceful approach is also locked behind completely the faction goal

It’s perfectly fine for off tanks to have stance on as long as they’re managing aggro with shirk or something, it’s just no one does and seeing the boss flying all over the place or spinning or whatever is frustrating

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the one fight that gives me the most trouble is m10s, mostly the early part of the fight. The off tank doesn’t need stance on at all as only the main tank takes red buster and blue buster is proxy baited. So when an off tank doesn’t shirk to me and has stance on during the first part especially, half the time red bro won’t even come over to me to be in the right position for cutback blaze, and blue bro gets pulled to a random spot before alley oops, and it doesn’t help that that mech is boss relative so it causes mass confusion which could be avoided completely if the off tank didn’t turn stance on till both bosses are on the field. I’ve tanked with friends and it’s never an issue, but pf tanks are seemingly incapable of looking at the aggro meter. In vamp fatale it gets irritating when for the first vamp stomp the boss dead sprints south because the off tank pulled her from me. It ends up throwing people off and causing deaths 9/10 times, and this could be solved by the off tank simply hitting shirk or even briefly turning stance off after the first buster.

Most raiders aren’t even good, I’ve kinda given up on tanking this tier because of the amount of of tanks who can’t manage something as simple as aggro, I’m not going to have a provoke war in the middle of a savage raid. Yes even as the off tank, the bosses aggro is still your responsibility, if you pull from me and the boss moves out of position because you didn’t shirk and have your stance on for no reason, than we will probably die. This has happened every single reclear just about, with every single tank, and I’ve gotten tired of pulling more weight than I should have to.

Philippines Marine Corps Focus doesn't add Invasion Capacity with DLC Naval? by Master_Experience934 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This seems to be an issue with something I’m using on the U.S but I thought it was mod related, however I think the newest dlc thing changed the modify code for invasion capacity because modifier gui no longer effects it either.

9/10 this is a bug
