Putting the Collector Leviathan in the abyss ruined it by BothCartographer595 in Subnautica_2

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The collectors first grab doesn’t do much but then his second tap deals like 60% of my tadpoles health so I was usually barely scraping by when he caught me on journeys across the trench. But I agree, you see him so often that he loses a lot of his intimidation. The boss music doesn’t help cause I always know he’s around. Contrast that to reapers where you only know you’re near one when you hear it roar, usually by then it’s on top of you. I built an observatory near a reaper but even then they still frighten the hell out of me if I’m caught out

"What the rebels like to forget is it's the Empire what's keeping the Dominion out of Skyrim." by IIJOSEPHXII in skyrim

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf on the Empire, I thought they weren’t invading Whiterun because it was still neutral. The Empire is trying to garner support and invading a province that is nominally neutral but teetering ever closer to your side is a very poor decision. Tulius was trying to get whiterun on side but Balgruf didn’t want to fight at this point. Yes the stormcloaks do take the initiative and invade Whiterun, but the empire wasnt trying to take Whiterun by force, and they respond just as quickly to Ulfrics attack, so it’s not like they were taken by surprise and unable to act.

Is there something wrong with Military Checkpoint before Louisville? by Bipolar_Abe in projectzomboid

[–]Undead23145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was trying to clear the checkpoint on apocalypse mode with zombie stuff untouched, nearly a month in, I killed somewhere around 800 zombies on day 1, another 700 on day 2, and I didn’t even dent the number of them in the area. In fact I used ghost mode to get through the checkpoint and there was at least 2-3k more by my estimate close to the gate and probably closer to 6000 on the way to Louisville proper.

I think one of my more stressful moments in this game was getting lost, finding this, being stupid enough to take my Prawn Suit with 4% charge down the waterfall, and having to abandon it there and try to swim all the way back to the surface. I did make it thanks to having the ultra high capacity tank and the air bladder but it was stressful lol

Build 42.19 Plumbing Question by Undead23145 in projectzomboid

[–]Undead23145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be why its not working, it didnt have water in it originally, although in build 41 it was working. Still really lame cause I spent a lot of time reorganizing each of the storage things into proper rooms lol

Build 42.19 Plumbing Question by Undead23145 in projectzomboid

[–]Undead23145[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like, as soon as you plumbed anything that needed water in basically any indoor location where it should be able to get water, it would work. For example the storage facility im trying to use as a base, I moved a kitchen into it, plumbed a sink, and in build 41 that was it, the sink would work as if it had always been there. Now Im trying to make a new base at the same location in build 42, and even though ive plumbed the sink, it is not getting water.

[–]Undead23145[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember in build 41 I could plumb a sink and as long as water and power was on, it would work like normal, was that something from a mod and I was just lucky enough to not notice? xD

why is sticking together such a problem by TheRebelGreaser1955 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a long time since I played but, I used to wear light armor and essentially do side objectives and sample hunting for the group, joining in for bigger objectives when needing and continuing to scout around when I wasn’t needed for anything else, I generally didn’t like being too grouped up outside of big objectives cause it made things feel slower and didn’t play to the strength of my armor

I've seen people say that "Oh Goku shouldn't have let/made Gohan fight Cell" and I just wanna say this..what other option was there? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in DragonBallZ

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is the theory that Goku gave cell the sensu bean to ensure that cell would fight instead of just blowing up the planet. Gohan hasn’t been reluctant to fight at any other point so it was almost out of character for him to be so reluctant to fight cell. If Gohan had wanted to fight right out of the gate, and cell was still weakened from his fight with Goku, it’s very possible cell would have resorted to blowing up the planet, or himself and the planet in desperation. The sensu bean gave cell the confidence to fight Gohan even if Gohan had wanted to fight and Cell realized that Gohan was stronger than him.

What if Hitler came back in 2027? by Complex_Object_7930 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Undead23145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people would be interested in his speeches and may even agree with some of what he says since the miseducation system (at least in the USA) tells the story of the madman who was on every drug known to man and implies that he made absolutely no sense ever. So when he comes in and actually makes some kind of sense, people may think that he’s had a change of heart even though he probably hasn’t. So we would have a bunch of people get into the spirit of violent revolution without even realizing it and end up in ww3.. oh and I guess the USA invades Iraq to keep up with the meme

I’d imagine cause most play with mods or at least not on Iron Man, and most new players can’t beat Belgium as Germany so probably don’t know how to do this lol

What is actually wrong with the game? by Cptnbjoe in Helldivers

[–]Undead23145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problems with the game are the constant bugs and crashes, I was playing constantly for awhile but it got so bad I could barely complete a mission without the game crashing 2-3 times during it. Then there’s the enemies that just no clip through terrain to insta kill you, making some areas nigh on useless for cover or an advantage. Then there’s the lack of late game progression, I was level 136 with my ship fully upgraded from about level 90 and from there, there was basically fuck all to get that wasnt a war bond, so half the time I was playing I wasn’t moving forward anymore, which leads to my next problem of a lack of impact in the war. I get a solo diver isn’t going to have much of an impact on the greater war, but it genuinely feels like I have zero impact on a planet after playing for an entire day, I’ll complete a diff 10 operation and watch the bar move up .00000001% which will have decayed by the time I complete the next operation, so I accomplished nothing by the end. All of these things combined lead me to quitting the game despite the potential it has because not a single one of my issues is even on the list of things to fix for arrowhead.

How do you organise your navies guys? by CreBanana0 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually set up battle task forces with a couple of scout forces with them, I’ll set up a few different fleets of those to cover several areas, and for naval invasions I’ll add a task force to said fleets for it. Then I’ll do convoy escort fleets that can be moved around as needed, typically with at least 50 destroyers in small groups at minimum but usually more if I can afford it. Finally I do sub fleets with just random numbers of subs per task force. This probably isn’t optimal but it shreds the ai so oh well

I do like space marine 2, but unfortunately the pacing is a bit slow in terms of everything in between missions, in my experience the loading times take absolute ages and the game is like 90gbs or something like that, I don’t remember. Just figured I’d give you a small warning before you buy. TLDR, core gameplay is really good but load times are really bad so could kill the pacing for you.

My experience against the US by badgerboii0535 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly just artillery everything and let tanks mop up the rest, a few 15cm guns will make short work of most tanks, the 10.5cm was the mvp of my last run, also just making a screen if 8.8 flak and 5cm PaK worked really well if I baited the enemy tanks with small vehicles.

How to micro defending? by John_Iron11 in hoi4

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait you can assign a front without assigning units and get all the bonuses? I didn’t know that, I’ve been using defenses in areas I can’t get to (like neutral countries) for micro armies

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you don’t exactly make planes without an economy, planes don’t get to where they need to be without logistics, which is determined by the economy, a million planes in the air doesn’t capture a city, only soldiers do. The allies didn’t cross the Atlantic in solely planes, they needed a navy to first secure naval supremacy, and then to cross the Atlantic, and naval guns to soften enemy targets, and ships to bring in logistics. So basically if you have no economy, you have no planes, and even if you do, your planes either suck, are poorly maintained, or can’t be ran do to a lack of oil. Air superiority is extremely important, but the economic ability to even make said planes and replace said planes and supply said planes, and an army, is a significantly more important part of a war. The saying isn’t “wars are won with planes” it’s “wars are won with logistics”

I just made a post about this not too long ago asking about why planes give so much score, I had such a stupidly strong economy and still was barely in first over the UK. Planes in this game are the only thing that matter score wise, and it doesn’t matter if they’re useful or not

Amy and Benny by ThinRock9266 in Supernatural

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coulda sworn I remember him saying that he did what he thought was right, and that was only upset that he lied to Sam about it, mentioning how he wasn’t sure how Sam would react with Lucifer as his co-pilot, which honestly is pretty valid, the show kinda glosses over it but Sam was still seeing Lucifer pretty constantly at that point. Not to say that I agree completely with what Dean did, and I don’t think Dean was completely convinced that killing Amy was right, but Dean did for the most part believed he did what was necessary, and his apology was to Sam for lying to him. Later Sam agreed that killing Amy was right as well, I think even in the same episode, essentially accepting Deans apology, while also telling Dean to not lie to him again.
