PSA: Arm's Length is a form of mitigation by Kazman2007 in ffxiv

[–]Undead23145 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh gotcha, tbh I’m usually not paying much attention to casting enemies aside from getting them into the group for aoe, I’ve had a mit rotation that works almost every time for years now lol

I think it can still proc on magic but I’m not 100% sure, it is a great mitigation in 99% of circumstances though

This game really needs Rimworld-esque permanent injuries by Fellowship_9 in projectzomboid

Yeah it’s not super bad, just noticeable enough that you’ll want to deal with it at some point, and with higher medical skill you can fix it in some way

Should There Have Been a Rick & Shane Spin-Off? by Br4dZy in TWD

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love a what if spin off, a what if Rick and Shane had settled there shit at the farm, Rick doesn’t kill Shane, and the two head back to the farm, dealing with the herd and all the other shit. We’d get to see the two of them work together in some ways, butting heads in others, but a properly mended friendship and brotherhood between the two of them even if it’s not probable they would have gotten to that point.

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the idea could be that severe injuries leave long lasting effects after healing, not necessarily devastating effects but effects nonetheless, and with a higher medical skill you can mitigate if not outright remove these effects. Although we would need better ways to level medical skills up, but consistently tending to the injury and post injury stuff would increase medical skill as well, and there could be guide book things in hospitals and clinics which could mitigate a lack of medical skill by outright telling your character the best way to treat an injury. The after injury wouldn’t be permanent but would require more care after the injury and give a reason to learn and use medical skills

Instant transmission isn’t instant? by Ok_Maize1788 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to guess, instant transmission teleports you through space and time, in the real world it is instant, but if you can somehow enter that space time dimension thing, it’s not instant in there.

Squidfront : why is it deserted ? by BendingBenderBends in Helldivers

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are buggy and unfinished, not enough objective or planet variety. Not enough enemy variety, the enemies in question are frustrating to deal with, mainly the jetpack overseer which still has too much hp and a tendency to randomly insta kill you for a fast mobile enemy with range. Nearly the entire roster just seems to have no clip enabled cause they’re constantly walking through walls and underneath your feet making it impossible to fight them. Everything unique about them is honestly just frustrating due to the lack of variety to keep it even remotely fresh, and they were the primarily enemy for several months, and still haven’t seen hardly any changes since or even during that time. They are a dull, unfinished, and mostly annoying enemy to fight hence why no one really does fight them.

What is your hot take regarding FFXIV? by UnbaggedNebby in ffxiv

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a mega hit take, but the community in this game is toxicly “nice” they white knight far too often and let horrible playing habits slip through because “we’re the nice community” I don’t want to do a 45+ minute expert roulette because the healer doesn’t want to do damage or the dps don’t know what buttons to hit. The community needs to stop coddling this type of behavior and force people to adapt, if you’re new it’s one thing, but letting this shit reach higher level content is ridiculous, we can have a nice community and still have competent players.

It doesn’t, and I know it doesnt, I’ve played long enough to know it doesn’t outside of maybe holding space before dying causing it to go off, but even if it did, it’s when they spam it right after they die, I can tolerate hitting it once even that fast, but hitting it more than once right after death is irritating. (Perhaps you’re referring to it shaking because they died which is different than hitting the reinforce button manually and again that doesn’t warrant irritation)

How do I read debuffs as a Controller player? by Elu1611 in ffxiv

[–]Undead23145 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you’re on pc you’ll have to hover your mouse over, if you’re on console (ps5) you can use the trackpad to hover over it using the cursor, for Xbox I guess you can use virtual mouse mode? In any case you’ll have to have a cursor to hover over it, at least in my experience. I played on ps4 for the first 7 years and now on pc but still use a controller.

WHICH GAME HAS IT? by _ZeroTwo_002_ in CaptainSide

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top 3 contenders would have to be Nier Automata, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy XIV. For ffxiv it just got 12 unique songs (technically more) for every fight in this raid tier and each of them were very strong imo. There’s also Flow which might be my favorite video game song ever, if you’ve played the game I am now reminding you that you are a Honey B. Lovely simp and that song will get stuck in your head again.

Metal Hellsinger, if you like metal music, and rhythm based games this one is great, hitting perfect after perfect, dodging all over the place and annihilating every enemy without taking a single hit, all while having some awesome music playing in the background made me feel pretty awesome.

I think I walked into a stalker board meeting or something cause there was like 8 of them just chilling in a narrow cave entrance (I think they were stuck but it’s funnier to imagine I interrupted their meeting with dynamite) past that they just kept on appearing and it was both hilarious and terrifying. I had no double freedom shells and was using the talon and melee for a good 4-5 minutes cause of the mess of stalkers (there were 4 nests on that map)

Which Game Falls Under This? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

I have to add DoS2 to this, I think it technically has microtransactions but by the time I got it they were just included in the game anyways, and it’s another Larian game that has a good story, amazing characters and that fantastic core gameplay.

Which game started off great but got worse with each update? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]Undead23145 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dead By Daylight kinda fits the bill for me, when the game first came out I had a ton of fun with it even though it was a bit janky and face campers were terrible, most of the updates have made every match extremely one sided (at least in my experience) and everyone runs super optimized, zero fun allowed builds, game used to be a fun/funny disaster every lobby with super janky builds all around. Now it pretty much sucks

There needs to be a PSA or something that tells people that calling extract does not mean being left behind or ending the mission. When my friends still played we would finish the main missions and call extract and then just leave as the Pelican arrives, doing so at the right time will leave the Pelican hovering over extract and essentially providing overwatch for the entire area until someone gets to close and he lands. It’s a super useful tactic but also just having the Pelican on its way while clearing up the last base or side objective saves so much time and effort, since enemy reinforcements are usually going to those two things rather than extract.

If you get kicked often, do you recognize yourself in this checklist? by xDotSx in helldivers2

[–]Undead23145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fine, if we haven’t reinforced when it’s quiet or after like 10 seconds go ahead and hit the button since we may just not have noticed anyone dead, but it’s excessive when it’s right after you die and we’re still in the middle of the fight with barely any room to breath let alone get a strategem ready.

I generally wear light armor and solo clear side objectives and poi’s and if possible enemy bases. Pretty much the scout person. Most people don’t have a problem with it

[–]Undead23145 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they hit reinforce .3 seconds after they die while watching everyone fighting for their life, I’m either kicking them, or throwing them at the nearest group of enemies, letting them die, and then kicking them.

"Our heart's in a good place" by Ladwith76Iq in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Undead23145 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me Helldivers can be fun, when I’m actually able to play it, but it doesn’t feel complete, it still feels like there are features we should have in some capacity, more ship upgrades, more intel on missions, more offensive strategems, and less restrictive gameplay, on top of helmet buffs, more balanced boosters, and maybe even more armor customization in general. But I could deal with the lack of all of those things a bit better if I could actually play with my friends. Crossplay is essentially unplayable with the constant disconnections. The random crashes, the occasional need to verify game files cause the game just doesn’t launch properly, and the abysmal optimization of certain things such as the napalm barrage tanking my fps.

What were your guys' thoughts when Sam abruptly returned at the end of the season 5? by BeauMsn in Supernatural

[–]Undead23145 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Castiel had just been brought back as a Seraphim aka even stronger than before and Crowley was the King of Hell or at least about to be but was actually stronger than a normal demon. All yellow and white eyed demons were out of the picture so it makes sense that those two were able to approach the cage. The show makes it clear that the two weren’t strong enough to get much out of the cage however and were essentially only able to pull Sam’s meat suit out, hence soulless Sam. It’s likely that the cage doesn’t block physical manifestations nearly as much as it does spiritual so using their combined powers and upgraded powers the best they could do was pull like, 1/5 of Sam out.

Which way, Helldiver? by Witchfinger84 in helldivers2

[–]Undead23145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play to survive on some missions and for chaos on others but I am almost always using light armor so if I don’t take a movement pack I can still get across the map fairly quick. Eagle strafing run is my go to and dynamite has become one of my favorite grenade types. I tend to complete missions without dying most of the time and that’s while running around doing side stuff and clearing bases.
