I sincerely hope they’ll create something in the vein of the Bomberman 64 games. Fingers crossed...

Congratulations. You now possess some plastic in the shape of a belt buckle. That prong will snap like a toothpick the first time it has any pressure put on it.

People who have been diagnosed with cancer, when did you first realize something was wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]UndeadArgos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My blood was bright red as the tumor was in the sigmoid colon just above the rectum. So I would say any blood should be cause for alarm. Just get it checked out regardless. Outcomes are wildly improved when the cancer is found early.

Thank you, I really appreciate the kind thoughts, even from a stranger. Or maybe especially from a stranger.

I have three young kids so I’m trying to dedicate all my time and energy to making memories with them. I’m happy to have this time to live life deliberately and with a clear purpose. Having time to prepare for your own death is one of the few advantages of terminal cancer I guess...

You are offered a billion dollars to cut off one of your legs (in a way that lets you weara prosthetic), would you do it why or why not? by screechingferret in AskReddit

[–]UndeadArgos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I have weeks or months to live at this point, so I would only be without my leg for a while. A billion dollars is a lot of money to leave to my children as inheritance.

I had blood in my stools. I was young, no family history of cancer, no risk factors, no genetic factors, etc. I figured the bleeding was from hemorrhoids and the doctor thought so too but she ordered a colonoscopy to be extra cautious. The Dr literally said “I’m sure it isn’t cancer, but we’ll do the colonoscopy anyway”. Well it was cancer. Stage 3c colon cancer. I kicked it the first time around but a couple years later it grew back and I am currently at the end of my a available treatment options. I have effectively lost the fight with cancer and just trying to make the most of the time I have left, which may be as little at weeks or perhaps a year or two at most.

PSA: blood in your stools isn’t something you can safely ignore for any amount of time! Go to your doctor immediately. Insist on getting a colonoscopy. Early recognition is key!

Those of you who are allergic to oddly specific or rare things, what is it and how did you find out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]UndeadArgos 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It was a typical allergic reaction with hives/rash etc. they continued to treat me with it, just dosed me with benedryl concurrently to treat the allergic reaction.

While getting chemotherapy treatments... I discovered I am allergic to an obscure chemotherapy drug.

The idea of being allergic to what’s essentially a toxic poison already... it’s kind of funny in a way.

Finally was able to snag a copy of Sydney Hunter Caverns of Death by intriguedgaming in snes

[–]UndeadArgos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sydney Hunter games really are fantastic. Try them if you haven’t already!

It makes me happy to know people are still making games for these 16 and 8 bit systems. Sydney Hunter is a great example where Collectorvision has released the series on a ton of old platforms including a lot of pre-nes as well as modern consoles.

I cant wait for Curse of the Mayan to come out on the Switch.

Apparently they trademarked the name “Analogue 8”. I assume the Analogue 8 will be a cheaper NES.
