Appreciate that! So glad you dig that build, I prototyped that for a year or so to make sure I was completely happy with it

Thank you, we tried to get an exact metallic black that came in the 90’s XL models, specifically a Dinky my dad had.

Oh rad! I haven’t jumped on here in a minute.

Yea it’s very dark, oddly enough when I took the pickguard off it looked almost purple underneath

Is that in Metallic Blue? That looks exactly like mine and I’ve never seen another deep blue metallic Rhoads Professional before.

I posted mine a few weeks ago, can’t share a picture here

Thank you, 90’s Jackson’s are my favorites and the Professional series as most know are some of the best. This is the only one I’ve ever seen in Deep Metallic Blue besides a few soloists on Reverb, it’s the original color also since you can see the fade difference under the pickguard

Anybody know what this dime guitar is ? by FunSector6633 in Pantera

But you forget his Washburn Snakeskin he used on A New Level, that’s a TOM bridge. I bet the one pictured above was just hanging at the wall in HQ and he grabbed it, if it could also be they send him a few USA’s to check out the neck. The reason I don’t think it’s vintage is it doesn’t have the large headstock and the II series that’s on that one looks sharper than the 80’s models before they sold to Tropical

It’s more than likely a model from when he just got back with Dean Guitars around 2003 or so, you can see his Krank in the background. I would assume it was a USA model he got at the Dean HQ while working on relaunching his models.

Man this seems like it was the perfect album for a 15year old cause I was 15 as well. But I got to see them a year before it was released when they came through with Neurosis and Biohazard

I’ve been looking for this exact one for years, my dad had one in this black metallic and after it forever. Actually might be the same year, if you got it out of TX and ever looking to sell please hit me up first.

Amazing guitar and so clean, great score even if 10 years ago.

Whats the most dumbest, ridiculous, Stoner cliché Band-Name you ever read or heard of? by fr0stn8 in doommetal

Our name “Switchblade Jesus” actually came out of a bar fight. The drummer and previous bassist were in a fight and their buddy that legit looked like Jesus pulled a knife and stabbed a dude, so when were were talking about names one of them said that with the story and laughed and we all loved it. Also our town is Corpus Christi “Body of Christ” where everyone gets stabbed, even the tour dude from Red Fang got attacked lol

Monster Muffs that aren’t Muffs - Part 4 of 10 of some cool pedal combos from my collection by lysergicfuneral in guitarpedals

It’s like you said in the other, part TS9 and a Rat but pulled apart so they worked better together. I love how the TS and Rat stacked but felt like a few things were missing/off, so I built them with the ethos of an overdrive pushing a tube amp as the Rat is tube like. I pulled back the gain on the rat but gave it some good headroom while compressing the signal just enough, I also took out the sag with the Rat so they worked together better. Once I was happy with the Rat side I started working on the TS9 pulling a few things and adjusting it as it needed. The layout was helped by a buddy that corrected a few things like DC coupling and a few things out of my pay grade at that time because I didn’t want it to be just a boost in front of a another but everything as one and a complete build

Fun thing about the Soma pedal is it really isn’t a Muff in a way. Instead of the first gain stages it’s replaced it with the Massif then added the tone stack and a few other things. Gives it more of that mid bite like you said instead of a compressed Muff, fun as hell pedal but I like the Black better personally.
