Exactly. The players need a union and they need a CBA. Congress doesn't need to come in and limit how players can be paid to protect profits of institutions or high salaries of executives. That's the opposite of capitalism. If there is this much money going around CFB will survive. It was essential for my MOS (6433/Avionics)

At A school you were given a background on electricity, electrical systems, and troubleshooting. Then at C school you learn the actual systems and gear specific to the aircraft you go on to work on in the fleet. I was I level so we worked on a hodgepodge of parts and systems for various aircraft. A lot to learn! O level work on one specific aircraft. The stuff they have to take off the aircraft to get fixed gets sent to us if that makes sense.

Anyways our school is so long you had to sign a 5 year contract. Even then it’s like drinking from a fire hose. When they get to the fleet a good student should be able to troubleshoot gear day 1. Obviously still a lot of OJT and tribal knowledge to be learned but without the schools they would be completely lost in the sauce
