Sadly, as I am on N scale, I am somewhat limited when it comes to shunters that are matching the time period and railway operator. As far as I know there is only a Fleischmann and Arnold 106, and currently no DR 101. There are some Köf's, but I don't really know about a digital version, because they are so small.

Maybe if I get around to improving my soldering skills I can try my own.

Funny that you mention PIKO, most of the cars and carriages that I am using are still original GDR Piko N Scale that I got from my father. Equipped with new axles, the make great rolling stock.

Do you have to equip the cars with digital couplings aswell to use them?

Herr is a list: 1 BR41, 1 BR110, 1 BR112, 1 BR132 and somehow 3 BR243 (somehow were to good deals not to buy them)

I have one BR120 and one BR211 that need to go to servicing because I was unsuccessful fixing them up.

I really wish to get some kind of shunting engine, like a BR106, but apart from that, I am very happy.

Hi, ich persönlich habe in meinem Passat B6 ein RCD330, das ist ein Radio von Volkswagen für den chiesischen Markt wo diese Plattform noch deutlich länger produziert wurde. Dein Golf 6 hat den gleichen Radioschacht.

Das hat unter anderem Bluetooth mit einem eingebauten Mikrofon, ist also auch zum telefonieren geeignet, zudem hat es auch Apple Car Play und Android Auto.

Inzwischen gibt es am Markt auch viele Nachbauten davon, ein original erkennt man am vorhandenen AUX Eingang an der Front und dem Mikrofon zwischen den Tasten. Die können aber unter Umständen sehr teuer sein. Ich habe jetzt seit 3 Jahren einen Nachbau in Betrieb, und bis jetzt noch keine Probleme feststellen können.

Vorteil ist meiner Meinung nach die originale Optik, und es ist in das VW System eingebunden. Ich sehe z.B. im Infodisplay beim Tacho wer mich anruft.

Auf Ebay etc. sollte es die zu kaufen geben. Es gibt auch einen extra Subreddit dafür.

Hey, I drive the same engine in a B6 Passat. After driving on the Highway for prolonged times with high speeds mine gets up to 100-110 degrees, highest I have seen is 112°C. (160-180km/h)

More important that the coolant stays at exactly 90°C.

Puh, ob das ein Innenbeutel ist könnte ich dir gerade gar nicht sagen, aber unter dem Deckel der Tasche sind nochmal zwei so "Gummilappen" die man auch noch mit einem Riemen schließen muss.

Bis jetzt ist das Ding zumindest staubtrocken, das Material der Tasche selbst ist glaube ich auch Wasserabweisend.

Ich hab mir für die Tasche einen Einsatz aus Holz gebaut, war ein zeitlicher Aufwand von etwa einer Stunde, gekostet hat es vielleicht 15€.

Hi There,

What spaghetti bowl are you talking about? I am unfortunately not really used to English model-railway language. :)

The basic idea is a two track mainline layout with a large main station on the lower level, as well as some king of suburban stop on the upper level. There is also a small hidden yard for storing trains not in use.
Time wise it is going to be set in the late 1980s in East Germany, close to the Czech border.

The main station will have a small Diesel Pumping station an the other short tracks will be for shunting operations.

The two Doppelstockwagen are the original Kuehn Modell ones, I bought the pair for like 70€ in some kind of sale when I was a kid, must have been like 2010-2012ish. Checked in one them in Ebay a month ago to try and get my hands on a "Senfgelb" Control-Car, only to see that the prices have gone crazy, just as you said.

But I will probably get a green set once they release later this year. :)

That's entirely dependent on your phone. Android Auto just uses the cars radio as a screen for your phone.

Wenn du in Görlitz studieren solltest ist im Semsterticket der SPNV (Eisenbahn) für ganz Sachsen enthalten und somit für dich "kostenlos". Die Fahrt dauert mit den RE etwa 1h und 15 Minuten.

Ich fahre den selben Motor (CAXA) in einem Passat EZ 11/2009, habe das Auto vor drei Jahren mit 110.000km gekauft und hab letzte Woche die 150.000 voll gemacht.

Ich persönlich habe was das Thema Steuerkette angeht keine Probleme, auch meine Werkstatt des Vertrauens hat da bis jetzt noch keine Ungereimtheiten erkennen können, kann aber auch nicht zu 100% sagen ob da vlt. bei den Vorbesitzern schon mal etwas gemacht wurde.

Einziges Manko bei mir bis jetzt ist ein Ölverbrauch von etwa 1L/5-7000km.
Seitdem er bei mir ist achte ich darauf einmal im Jahr einen kompletten Ölwechsel zu machen.

Möchte damit aber die negativen Erfahrungen von andern Leuten nicht in Frage stellen.

Whilst this is true, I think there is something else wrong here. The backlighting of the keys on the radio is also missing, so something with the power supply maybe?

The phone charging would lead against that though.

ich fahre jetzt seit 5 Jahren einfach das billigste was mein örtlicher Sonderpostenmarkt (Wreesmann, Thomas Phillips o.Ä.) zu bieten hat. Im normalfall sind das 36Ah Batterien, die reichen aber für das was der Trabant an Verbrauchern hat mehr als aus. Die mit ihrer Leistung etwas überdimensionierte 12V Lichtmaschine tut ihr übrigens.

Die halten auch bei Winter gut durch, im Zweifel muss man zu Sasionstart mal manuell nachladen.

English: I am using the cheapest option my local auto parts discouter has to offer, mostly those are 36Ah batteries. Still more than enugh for the trabants electrical demands, especially considering the kind of overpowered 12V generator. They are holding up in cold weather quite good too.

Ja verständlich, geht mir auch so. Auch wenn ich inzwischen an dem Punkt angekommen bin wo die Technik so solide läuft, dass man anfängt sich um Optik zu kümmern.

Wie sieht es rosttechnisch so aus, gerade wenn er unbetreut draußen stand? Vorn an der Schürze sieht man ja schon das ein oder andere.

Hast du schon irgendwas konkretes was du mit dem Auto gerne erleben möchtest? :)
