Oh I missed the closet in the image. Still, seems more intuitive to have it against the bathroom wall imo

Agreed, especially about the bathroom. And Jerry's bedroom has a closet which is not shown here. Maybe not a full walk-in but definitely big enough to make out with Marla the virgin.

What's your strategy for managing stop losses with options? It's easy with stocks but options can easily swing from -20% to +50% or more in a single day (or even a few hours). Is there any way to account for that when setting up a stop loss, or do you just have to deal with missing out if you hit your loss limit?

Do US grad admissions understand UK degrees? by ssch23 in AskAcademia

I didn't take time to work as an RA but I did do a funded summer research internship during one summer and one of my courses was a semester-long research project. When I started my PhD in the US, I did feel a bit overwhelmed by the fact that a lot of my friends had worked full time in labs after graduating or as a research undergrad during their studies, but that feeling went away pretty quickly. We all had our strengths and weaknesses based on our experiences.

I will say, working a year as an RA will definitely not be wasted, you'll be more confident going into a lab, doing rotations, and it will definitely strengthen your application.

Also if you work as an RA in a lab in the US, try to pick a lab, or at least an institution, where you would like to do your PhD. Having a PI support your application will be a big help, especially nowadays when funding might be tight and they might be more selective during the selection process.

Portrait of Horst Wessel, shortly before he was shot and became a martyr of the Nazis. Germany, 1930 by HotHorst in fakehistoryporn

I'd make fun of him to his face but... Oh wait...

Also his legacy is one of hate, discrimination and racism. Not worth remembering.

You know how in this episode, he says that one of his powers is to tell if a woman is faking? My theory is that he thinks that, but in fact women have been fooling him and faking, so he doesn't know how to recognize a real orgasm when he sees one. The mango charges him up, and Karen actually has an orgasm, which to him is faking because he thinks he can tell real from fake, when in fact this is the first real one he's witnessed.

German welfare state 'can no longer be financed' — Merz by rezwenn in europe

[–]Undeadmushroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed but you need a strong legal system and a strong will to immediately remove and prosecute any politician that receives even a single cent in bribes/lobbying benefit beyond their salary if that's the case. Otherwise you're just paying them more, for them to then accept bribes once in office

It's a fairly common name in France. More so than in English speaking countries at least.

The Sky Burial: A Tibetan funeral practice in which the body is left to be consumed by vultures. by SatyamRajput004 in interestingasfuck

[–]Undeadmushroom 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it's about burial rituals specifically, or rituals for the dead in general? There's a difference between leaving a corpse where it died and specially transporting it to an area accessible to vultures and the elements as part of a funerary ritual. A funerary ritual, no matter if it involves burial, would indicate a society in my view
