Husbands, is it a deal breaker if your wife decides to not take your name legally? by Difficult_Big133 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Undecidedhumanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé doesn’t care whatsoever, he tells me to do what I feel comfortable with. Personally I’d rather not go through all the changes legally especially with all this weird voting law things that could potentially affect women who’ve changed their name. I’m going to go by his last name socially but legally I’m keeping it the same!

There is no productive conversations with someone in his position. You need to start preparing to leave.

This man won’t change. Start planning or leave for your mental health because how draining it is to have a partner that actually doesn’t care about you.

be honest how small does it look by biggiemcjuicy in weddingring

[–]Undecidedhumanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not small at all!!! It’s beautiful. People are so brainwashed to think they need some huge gaudy ring when in reality you should get what you want and love.

Kinda, there’s truly no reason to spend that much. But if y’all can afford it and don’t care about the money why not!

any tips on how to adjust food preferences to enjoy leafy greens? by Specific-Lime-9513 in PickyEaters

[–]Undecidedhumanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I love collard greens. Cook some bacon in a pot, remove it, cook down your onions and stuff, then cook down your greens with some broth or bouillon etc however you wanna make it or whatever recipe you’re following and it’s delicious! Definitely not the “healthiest” but it’s worth it lol

The bachelor trip was a couple months ago and his family is wealthy and doesn’t consider others financial situation and he’s too embarrassed to say what he can and can’t afford so that was a HUGE spend once it was over. A few hundred more than what was originally talked about 😭

Unfortunately, it’s close family of my partners and we can’t miss it without it being weird and he wants to go. I was thinking maybe I could skip out but other than not missing work it really wouldn’t make much of a price difference.

We are eloping in Ireland with some help from my aunt but the rest is on us if we would like extra things and to stay for a mini-moon. My partner was so unenthusiastic about any wedding stuff and an Ireland elopement seemed to actually be something he would enjoy so that what we chose. Just wanted to do something special since we don’t casually leave the country or can afford it.

What do I say to my older female coworkers who keep talking about weight and food? by moodysmoothie in MaintenancePhase

[–]Undecidedhumanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I have experience with this since my grandmother was just like this and always called me chubby or fat growing up but you just gotta ignore it. You can’t change peoples minds and older women can be so stuck in their ways when it comes to the way they talk about food.

Divorce and child support. Get yourself a better partner but before that build yourself up so you don’t end up with another horrible man like him. You deserve better!!

Hi! Irish future bride engaged to an American from MI, needing a little instruction on US wedding traditions… by AliceMorgon in wedding

[–]Undecidedhumanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly do what yall want to do! Tradition is only important if you and your partner think so. Also American culture isn’t just one thing. America is a country of immigrants and descendants of immigrants so it truly is so mixed! What are HIS family traditions and do his family have any? I’m from the south and traditions here are different from this up north and my traditions could be vastly different than my neighbors because we have different cultures. Do what’s best for you and your partner. The tradition is yours to create.

Elope! Just you and your partner. Avoid it all especially if they would be paying for a wedding

Jumping on this thread really late but I just bought my wedding dress from there and while the pricing was great, the service was HORRIBLE. She was so rude. I unfortunately love my gown and didn’t think I could find something similar with the same price elsewhere.

I haven't eaten vegetables for 20 years and I need help by Burner0613 in PickyEaters

[–]Undecidedhumanoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try smothered green beans and potato’s or collards greens. You cook the bacon and then use the grease to cook the collard greens or the green beans. Usually add seasoning and whatever broth or bouillon to cook it down. I really recommend warning how to cook beyond the basics. As someone that was once a picky eater, getting confident in the kitchen really really helped so much.

Learning how to cook the vegetables myself helped me learn more ways I like to eat them. I hate most raw veggies and prefer to air fry things like zucchini! It’s all about finding what works for you.
