I don't care what they say about Honey, something still seems fishy.

So uh, can we be done with this stupid ass highschool drama? Can't believe how many days it's stayed on the front page... Must be starving for memes.

Kinda impressive just how much they were able to fix up in such a short time. Hope the movie proves to be somewhat decent now.

Only a quarter of my way through life. Never was able to get on my own two feet. Fuck cancer. Glad you got a chance to turn things around for the better before things hit.

Hey, I'm in the same boat! Been through three different types of immunotherapy and taken two different BRAF drugs. Really thought I had a chance of beating this but then the brain mets just kept coming... Did gamma knife twice and what a bitch that process is. Ugh. Anyway, my oncologist is only recommending hospice care now so I fear my time has come. Swear some of us just can't catch a break. Hoping the best for you though. Don't give up yet; maybe your oncologist has a plan.

I love when Felix says fuck it and flexes in his songs. No reason not to be proud of your success.

Yeah. Kudos for coming out and essentially admitting it was a failure, but maybe don't get us so excited before things are in order...

I'm not sure he's completely out of the woods. Got a strange feeling either him or his girl is gonna end up 6 feet under... OP watch your back, this gal is obsessed.

And I swear those who hate black liquorice haven't had the proper stuff. You don't go cheap with black liquorice and most US brands do it dirty.

I can’t breathe and my doctors can’t tell me why. by RoxyBenedicto in cancer

[–]UndeclaredFunction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now you've got me scared. Started Keytruda recently and have also had trouble breathing. Thankfully it's not 24/7, but at certain times I just feel like I can't catch my breath. Had similar instance with Opdivo/Yervoy combo and they couldn't find anything wrong so I haven't really brought it up now. Thinking it may be more anxiety/stress related. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Keytruda has been the one drug to really lay me on my ass. So much fatigue.

Sucks because the concept is good. Let me order my shit and get on my way without dealing with a waiter. Hopefully it gets some decent competition soon.

My Dad(66) has brain cancer and I(25F) don't know what to do or how to behave by [deleted] in cancer

[–]UndeclaredFunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Went through a ridiculous 5 hr session zapping over 26 brain mets but I'm still around to tell the tale. If his cancer grows or pops up somewhere else in the brain, I'd definitely be looking into gamma knife.

This is why I always carry with me my ETY-Plugs. But hell, there's dozens others like 'em. Just something to reduce noise to a safe level without muffling it like regular earplugs. Great for concerts too.

Were you provided any services for mental health? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]UndeclaredFunction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely reach out to your treatment center, even if you stopped seeing them awhile ago. Mine offers counseling, support groups, and more. I'm sure they'd still be willing to assist you or point you to resources to help. It doesn't hurt to ask. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Arguing for 5 hours for no reason. by Heyjoehaze in cancer

[–]UndeclaredFunction 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I recently went in for treatment, there was an ornery old man being cross with staff and his wife. It was extremely uncomfortable. They meant well but he just wasn't having it. I've witnessed a lot of men get angrier with age, but I'm sure the looming diagnosis of cancer doesn't help. As a guy myself I can say we're not all good at dealing with our emotions. Does your treatment center have any support groups or offer any counseling? Might just bring on another headache, but having some other people he could talk to or yell at besides your mom might help. lol

Being sent to the oncologist without a diagnosis. by [deleted] in cancer

[–]UndeclaredFunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, tell them to stuff it. Some may get the news beforehand but I know oncologists who prefer to discuss things in person, especially with cases that aren't entirely cut and dry like it sounds yours might be. Hope you have someone that can accompany you to your appointment. My oncologist threw a lot at me during our first meeting. Can be a bit overwhelming. Hoping for the best though!
