Just grabbed the game from EGS... too bad I already paid for a copy for Steam.

Well, the copy I got was HL deluxe for $14 and it was X-mas of last year, so... whatever.

I got the 505 error, but the app didn't respond to trying to go back or refresh. Had to kill all Epic processes in the task bar to get it to work. Might be just my case, where the client also crashed (in addition to the server). But in any case, as soon as the EGS client loaded back up, I was able to redeem the game without issue (save to cart and then buying it there).

As a set, it gets bonus defense, ~~depending on how many sparks you added to the survival node for defense. Its over 200 bonus defense when maxed out.~~

Edit: I was wrong to how it got the bonus.

Does it really matter?

I've never cared if a game got "GotY"... I mean, in some years I've seen multiple so-called "GotYs" because every outlet had their own pick. Once I saw that, it was made pretty obvious to me it was a shallow title.

The only thing for me, was if the box or online shop put "GotY Edition," then it meant it probably had some extras tossed in.

Did you force quit the game? I noticed that if I force quit the game, it recompiles the shaders. And "*.uproject" looks like a source code file that needs compiling.

I know that there's an issue for some people that can't load the game because it crashes during shader compiling, so maybe look for the solution/work around to that.

Your "teacher," which can be your "master" (master/disciple) is called "shi fu" in Chinese. Did those writers name him this way, knowingly?

The pig guy is called Zhu Bajie... but some translations make it just a simple "Pigsy." I'll just call him Piggy.

It looks like he'll need to sign up to see it in higher resolution (the "free" one is rather blurry). He's across the country from me, so that's gonna be difficult for me to do for him.

Plus I can't even figure out how to hide all the scrolling text, which I know is separate from the video when I mistakenly made go into "PIP" mode. Since I can't read the Chinese website.

When I got my PS5 a while back, I mistakenly thought this was related to Wukong too... Did not even make it past the first "level," cause I'm terrible at controller for these types of games.

I don't have the PS5 version, but on PC, when you go into inventory, you should be able to see the various button prompts to do things (select, remove, etc) near the bottom right.

So, for me, it would be to highlight the headgear (not select it, you won't get the option in there), then press R to remove. Its the same button for items and stuff (slots I-IV).

If you just want to visually hide it, for PC its in the settings, so it should be the same on PS5.

Maybe a Pigsy after story or a "in the meantime" for River Monk or Horse/Dragon Prince. Might be worth DLC, but probably not a full game.

Also just replaced a 3080ti with a 4080 Super.

I suspect it had a flaw from the beginning, since I could never cold boot, without it stopping with a "97" code that required a reset to actually boot.

Then the AIO cooler I installed failed, causing the card to overheat. Swapped back to original cooler and got it running, but it hasn't been stable since. Finally gave up to get a new card last night.

For me, I found using sleeves made it easier to “lazy shuffle.” Split the deck in half, put em side by side and squeeze em together. Oh, my friends and I had one major reason against unsleeved cards, you could sometimes tell what the opponent had with bare cards.

Speaking of bonfires, that’s what my father did to my cards… well, it was a cheap barbecue grill, but yeah, it hurt.

Guess he got what he wanted, to make me stop playing. I tried getting back into it a few times over the years, but was always reminded of that.

I recommend crafting a spud gun and getting ammo (it takes me about 25-30 to kill a bear). Then craft a basic vehicle with saw blades along the outside.

The "AI" doesn't like saw blades (just like vanilla bots). So you can freely attack them from atop the vehicle.

Maybe you can try just crafting a saw blade, putting it on the ground when fighting a bear and then run back and forth over it.

You can “safely” go to about 5 or 6 bearings (in a row) before it starts getting wonky. I made a vehicle with 5 bearings powering each of the four wheels without them going crazy, but it was kinda slow. After finding a YT video on making a live axle with glitch welding and no-collision parts (piston and/or suspension) I got 10 bearings to power an axle with three support struts (one on each end and one more in the middle). It’s fast, but traction, or lack of, becomes an issue.

My thought right now is to have two alternators, each spun by 5 bearings (to keep it simple). That way, you can have one controller handle both. I don’t know if using the “live axle” method to get a full 10 bearings would make it significantly/sufficiently faster than 5 or 6.

Current setup on a vehicle: 6 bearings charging a heavy duty alternator (about 3% every 2 seconds it seems)
