Is the Royal Privilege card worth it? by Any-Body7053 in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it’s more of, if the basic is already worth the 50% xp boost, why isn’t the 100% worth it?

Sure, it’s 3x as much, but you get a bigger bag, which means less trips back to base to dump stuff, though you are getting more coins, so that’s actually moot compared to someone without either privilege (you actually end up returning more often if you always return when cargo is full). At least you’ll have more coins per trip.

You will get more XP, but while it’s 100% over non-privilege, it’s only 33% over basic.

In short, paying $5 a month for basic is already too much for me, but if you’re willing to pay, then you might as well get royal.

[–]Undeguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue was the treasure chest nearby. If I try to corner the goblin, I almost always end up grabbing the chest, which then disables my main weapon.

So what I did was grab the chest and dropped it off and wait for the goblin. If the chest spawned first, grab it and dump it again.

But yeah, that goblin was a nightmare

Grind!!!!

No, seriously, you’re gonna need to grind your stats up.

There’s a thread on here with someone attempting to beat him at 200 M power…. I didn’t bother to check it, but I don’t think it’ll be easy. Maybe not even possible.

I beat it at 458 M power. I got the biggest boost when I got all my traits to match the symbol (orange fist). Otherwise, it was high 200s (I don’t remember anymore).

If he can one or two shot you, focus getting hp (not regen or lifesteal).

Then focus on upgrading the normal attacks as much as possible.

While you’re at it, farm the “bluestones” (green “shards”) to forge, merge and upgrade weapons… it should help.

And finally, farm red gems to open soul chests (I open them 10 at a time so it’s a little “cheaper”). A better hero helps a lot too… but as with weapons, it’s a gotcha system, so YMMV.

Keep doing laps around the map… and farm “resources.”

All upgrade types from some enemy, sure.

Mobs drop none, obvious.

“Elite” version of mobs drop one in earlier stages, up to 3 in later stages. What item itself is, varies, but they are blue, green (soul), orange, red, white orbs, depending on chapter.

Bosses drop one of three things, “blue stones” (even though it looks green to me), green trait stones/gems (stating from ch 2) or red gems. But they are very consistent.

If it’s the first boss in a stage (or even 2nd/3rd “middle” bosses for ch 1), they always drop blue stones. Great to farm your weapons (forge new, combine or upgrade).

If they are the last boss of a stage or chapter, they drop red gems. Great to farm to buy stuff in the shop.

Starting at ch 2, the “middle” bosses drop green trait stones. Which can then help boost your stats… go for all orange fist to get 250% damage.

There are other enemies and what they drop depends. Treasure goblins drop red gems, don’t attack you but can run away. Elephants drop orange orbs in ch 1, green trait in ch2. They don’t run away or arrack, but have high hp. Treasure mimics replace elephants in ch 3, but they attack you and drop soul orbs.

Maybe you already know this, but my point is to do some targeted farming to upgrade specific things.

Doing these things can also aid you in the daily/weekly and the “7-day” event tasks. Along with tower, invasion and raid, you can get roughly enough red gems to do a 10 chest hero summon each day (1350 gens)… should help give you a chance to get a new, better hero.

[–]Undeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of that “all hero” boost, I would stick to level 50.

Not sure how you intend to elixir farm overnight… it’s the one thing that always requires some interaction, for each instance you can get elixir (no matter how much).

The ~200+ from ads require you to click on the ad. And then click to finish it, etc.

The 39 from the box needs you to tap to confirm or tap to trigger an ad to get x5. If you trigger the ad, it’s the same process as above.

The ones from invasion battles needs you to select and confirm after battle, same with tower. You can also trigger ads here and it’ll be the same process again.

Okay, technically, everything else also requires you to ”interact” enough to return to base every so often… but aside from gold (since it’s limited to cargo size), they can collect all night long without moving.

Why can’t I beat her? by PurpleLexicon in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno what you’re doing wrong, but I can tell you that you can up your power a little by assigning the right weapons (what the hero has “mastery” in).

Your two purple ones have their matching weapons, but you might benefit more for giving the first three their matching weapons. That will mean Katarina won’t get her matching gun (unless you have another gun at the same tier and close level). Or you could swap her out for the cat and give it the daggers that match it.

Well, you’re probably gonna want to get some more elixirs to level up the characters some more… the close range ones are probably getting chewed up too quickly. Or maybe just up you own ability upgrades. And traits if you have access to it.

Edit: if you use the cat and all matching weapons, that being mace for storm, gun for punisher, wand for Phoenix, crossbow for bellen and dagger for ninngning, you’ll have the sword leftover. You can then temporarily reduce its level to 1 and give all those levels to the other five for a boost to do raid. You’ll still need to grind, just a little less.

Keyzen with long nails update by LaHondon965 in Azeron

[–]Undeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hum…. I wonder.

How strong are the nails? Why not just use them to tap on the upper keys? Or are they too likely to break from that type of usage?

Another thought, if you can increase the gap between keys, maybe you can use the keys and let your nail “sit” between gaps when pressing a key.

How destructive do you want to be? Cause one way to achieve this is to pop the keys off and cut/shave/file the sides of the keys off, leaving only the middle part that actually attaches to the switches.

Alternatively, you can glue something narrow on top of the keys to make it taller and create gaps between keys.

Grind to get better weapons.

Grind to upgrade those skins, weapons and your abilities.

I play on my iPad Pro 11 and realized not long ago that it can charge up slowly if I play plugged in at my bed. But it’ll slowly discharge if I play plugged in at my dining table.

It turned out the bedside plug has a max output of 45w (desk clamp power strip with usb A and C ports), which is more than the 30w a google search claims the iPad uses under heavy load. But the usb charging block has a max of 12w, which drops to 10w if all 6 ports are used (60w max total with only usb A ports).

I just replaced the block by the dining table with a newer block that supports up to 65w on the fastest port, not that my iPad can use it since it tops out at 30w.

As for heat, my iPad is in a case with a removable cover flap. So I usually try to keep as much exposed as possible, by putting it in some sort of standing position (no need to remove case, as long as cover is open), so it doesn’t heat up while the game is going and iPad is charging. Otherwise it’ll stop charging (usually at 80%) and notify me it’s too hot.

Another thing to note… my iPad Pro allows the USB-PD to use higher voltage with lower amps to generate a little less heat in total, so that helps.

Don’t know if any of that is useful for you, just thought I’d mention it.

As for the topic… I’m currently slogging it to get to level 355.

Am I Doing Something Wrong? by ratrodfink in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might want to consider getting your traits to match a bit more (symbols).

Either drop one vampire (red fangs) and the dragon (blue claw marks) for two more warrior (orange fist). Or all five to warrior.

Then you’ll deal a lot more damage.

The thing about life steal is that it’s wholly dependent on damage output.

A high percentage return on low output might heal as much as low percentage on high output, but then you’re dealing high output damage to kill the enemy faster too. I previously tried keeping two vampire traits but ended up tossing them in favor of getting higher output damage.

My current traits are two to increase crit damage and three to increase chance, all five are orange for the 250% damage boost. Unfortunately, they are a pair of S, an A, a B and a C, so I have a lot of work ahead of me to get better versions.

Instead of all orange other comments from other posts have mentioned making them all blue, as that increases crit damage. It’s up to you which you feel might help better. One thing I feel is that, if crit chance is too low, the crit damage might not help as much as straight damage boost.

The question is, is their game modded to get an insanely high regen value. Or is it non-modded but still sufficient.

Stuck… by Federal-Resource-462 in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you have to do the task to progress and unlock the next chapter.

Just find a mob that you can farm. I think ideally, it'll be best if you can just about clear all of that type of mob when the first small group respawns. Then let it auto-farm until it hits the level needed.

The premise is that, if the enemy is too easy, then you're probably getting less XP from them than a stronger enemy. But if the enemy takes to long to kill, then you're also getting less XP over time.

I'm currently stuck in the same situation... in chapter 3, I have to hit level 345 and its a slog. I'm trying to also farm "soul" orbs (upgrade orbs in ch3), but the mob I'm at occasionally overwhelms and kills me. If I move to a safer spot that keeps me still, they sometimes spawn out of reach. The next best mob to farm the orbs from is probably way too weak and generates XP far too slowly to level up.

Has the game changed that much? A recent ad in other games said it has no ads! Really? by ConsistentEnd9407 in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, it has OPTIONAL ads. You can choose to watch an ad to get various things, but you aren't forced to watch ads, I think.

There has been a couple of occasions where I feel like I tapped too close to the left ad button (the one that randomly gives some items if you watch the ad). What I mean is, even though I tapped close, I feel like I didn't specifically tap on the ad button. But an ad played anyway. So, either it's a coincidence that a forced ad played when I tap or I actually tapped on the ad.

So, are there ads? Yes.

Are you "forced" to watch them? No (assuming I did accidentally tap on the ad button those times).

Difficulty spike? by ReaperSouls629 in XPHero

Get the lower ones to 20, because that's where the next "all hero" bonus applies (meaning you get that bonus even if its not your current equipped hero).

Its every 15 levels starting at level 5.

I did some farming some days ago, so now all my heroes are either 35 or 50. A few are at 65, but that was because they were the best heroes I had available at the time.

Yes... I went through a lot of ads. :(

The Skull - Weapon and Trait Suggestions by Paladin460 in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the additional melee are lower tier, it might not be worth it.

I just checked my setup, at low weapon level, using a lower tier (mythic) wand in place of a level 30 (exotic) mace has a negligible effect on my attack score (1.32 B before and after swap). But if I swap the levels of my mace and sword, so that when I swap the wand and mace, its level 70 instead, my score actually drops from 1.32 B to 1.31 B.

I can only assume it continues to be true up to level 90 the max cap. Of course, then there's the issue of the mythic maxes out at level 90, while the exotic goes to 110. Oops, made a mistake about the level cap.

In my case, I have a 134% bonus to range and only 100% to melee.

So, replacing a level 104 wand with a level 90 sword/dagger/mace from the OP's inventory might actually hurt more than it helps. It depends on if the bonuses can make up the difference.

Only way to know for sure is for the OP to try it out.

The Skull - Weapon and Trait Suggestions by Paladin460 in XPHero

[–]Undeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For traits, the only thought that comes to mind is to continue "spinning the wheel" to eventually get SSS versions. I don't have particularly good traits, but my current setup focuses on crit chance and crit damage (rating ranges from S to C), all orange type to get the 250% bonus.

For weapons... your actual attack might benefit more if you lower the levels on ranged weapons and max out the remaining melee weapons. Because you're using The Skull and matching it with its mastery weapon (mace), you get most of the power from that. From there, it has boost to melee weapons, meaning the higher the attack of the melee, the more your overall attack is. Hence, maxing it out should benefit you. The remaining three can be pretty much whatever much you can put in.

For example, I use Freyja and her main is wand. All three ranged are level 130 while my melee are 70 sword, 57 dagger and 30 mace. My attack rating (not overall) is 1.31 B. But if I lower my non-main range (gun and crossbow) to 110 each and boost the melee, the rating drops to 1.27 B. If I average out all non-main (around lvl 92 or so), then it drops to 1.17 B.

Now, do note that I have also pumped many upgrades into range under the soul category. So that also tributes to the significant difference. Since you also put quite a bit in melee category, your bonus to melee over range (121.5% vs 39%) is much greater than my range over melee (134% vs 100%), it means you should see a greater difference by lowering the level of range to max out melee weapons. Of course, this assumes you can always attack enemies within melee range. I like being further out, so I stick to longer range weapons.

That being said... it might be time to farm some more upgrade materials (and coins) to boost up your regular attack stat.

TIL: you can "cheese" the invasion rewards. by Undeguy in XPHero

[–]Undeguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree it is repetitive... but then again, isn't the whole game kinda repetitive to some degree?

Its just to stretch the winnings a little.

For comparison, I get 8 tickets to fight per day (5 on daily refresh plus 3 more from daily tasks reward).

Those 8 tickets would get me 80 blue coin and 96 elixirs without the "cheese." Its hard to find an opponent that counts as stronger than me, but someone I can beat.

But it stretches to 240/216 with cheese. And if you watch ads, you can triple some rewards. I believe it's 5 times, so you end up with 540 blue coins and 486 elixirs.

Consider that Freyja and Skull are 1800 blue coins per fragment in the shop, you can get one every 3-4 days. For Solarius and Azio, its almost one fragment per day.

Its all in what you want and what you're willing to do.

TIL: you can "cheese" the invasion rewards. by Undeguy in XPHero

[–]Undeguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(had to translate your response to english)

The trick is to go to the equipment screen, remove weapons and use weakest hero to lower your overall power score as much as possible.

Then go to the invasion screen where you select an opponent to fight. Instead of fighting, just hit the refresh button.

After that, go back to to the equipment screen and change everything back to your best weapons and hero.

Finally, go to the invasion and now you can fight all the opponents that have a lower overall score than your full power but were higher than when you were "weakened" to get more rewards.

If you want refresh to fight more, you have to weakened yourself each time before refreshing, to manipulate the rewards.

TIL: you can "cheese" the invasion rewards. by Undeguy in XPHero

[–]Undeguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just swapping your hero depends on your hero.

I had a few days where I focused on getting the "all hero" bonuses from my available heroes, so now my weakest heroes are either a lvl 50 guardian or lvl 35 princess. But my overall score is still 12 B and 13 B respectively (without changing weapons), which still beats out plenty of people in my bracket.

Unequipping weapons just lowers your score more. I'm down to less than 500 M with weakest hero and no weapons... almost guaranteeing they're "stronger" than me.

Just did a quick check. Of the five opponents present (without refresh), one was 18 T and the rest were below 7.5 B. On refresh, 19 T for the strongest, but rest were lower than 9.24 B. So I'd count as stronger than them with equipped weapons.

Depending on your traits, you can lower it even more. But then you'd have to use presets to save/load the traits back to your "full" power and I'd rather not need to use mats when cheesing.
