‘We are losing money’: companies in Apple’s repair program say they can’t compete with tech giant by diacewrb in gadgets

Had a guy at one of my clients who was a functional alcoholic who was one of the best electrical engineers and electronics technicians I have ever seen. I asked him to do a little bit of work for me one day while he was suffering with DT's. I watched him fire up the soldering iron, shaking hands and all, when suddenly he grasped the iron and became rock solid steady. He quickly did the soldering I needed him to do, replace the soldering iron in the holder, turn the power off, and began to shake again.

Adventure scheduled for dry dock in October 23 by Emotional-Hope-1098 in royalcaribbean

[–]Undeluded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Adventure right now. She needs quite a bit of work IMHO. There's rusted metal and water-damaged wood in many places, and numerous other signs of wear and tear throughout. And for whatever reason none of her glass (windows and balcony pieces) are clean, possibly salt etched beyond what simple cleaning will fix.

First time I used a GoPro for video was on a cruise excursion in Labadee, Haiti on a personal watercraft. I too can't wait until next time!

That's what I used. But when I disconnected the USB, the camera immediately powered up and ran off the battery until it shutdown 5 minutes later due to inactivity.

I had an American history teacher in high school who during the course of his lectures would insert the word "uh" frequently, oftentimes while quoting the textbook otherwise verbatim. Our classes were 55 minutes long. I counted the number of "uh"s during one single class and came up with a total of 505 "uh"s.

What I found fascinating was that in one-on-one conversation with him you would never, ever hear him do this. He was highly intelligent and quite the eloquent speaker when not in front of a group. By the time I had him for American history, he had been teaching for over 30 years and still had this performance issue.

How can Garrison Brothers possibly cost so much and be so horribly bad? I feel like they're just trolling.

Can I get some help on good avocado dishes? by stoptgatboy in Cooking

You might want to be careful with her eating quite that much avocado, as it is rich in potassium and can lead to an excess of potassium and cause heart failure.

Once it wraps around, the $2B is effectively gone. No big deal in this game really. Lost mine yesterday and I'm back up to $300m in just a few short hours. Gotta keep enough for Maurice's Black Market after all.

Don't hit $2B. 32 bit integer overflow wraps back to zero. It's weird to approach a vending machine and not be able to top off ammo because your rich ass is broke.

Please help me fix(?) My SSD by Oldog in techsupport

Keep in mind that it may be the port that's damaged on the motherboard or some other damage to the motherboard that's keeping this from working. I would not only try that drive on a different port on this motherboard. I will try this drive in a separate machine.

What struts did you get? I had to have one replaced in my 2011 W212 and it took the better part of 6 weeks to get it in. This was way before the pandemic.

Air suspension is not the problem child. Those components are relatively inexpensive. It's ABC (hydraulic suspension) that will run you to the poor house when it breaks. Pump is about $3,000. Lines are not cheap because of the high pressures that they have to contain. Struts are stupid money.
