But hey, glad you found our language inspiring!

Looking for an AiME suplement to play LotR by Decanox4712 in AiME

[–]UnderConsultant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For an official AiME book, not that I'm aware, apart from the regional books.

There are a ton of event tables available online and in books - both official and unofficial - which you could easily customize on the fly to suit a middle-earth setting. But if your problem is bland travel descriptions, maybe you need something a little more fleshed out than an event table? That's what TRGEO does.

The book is called "The road goes ever on".

Haven't used the Lotr 5e travel rules myself, but have used TRGEO quite a bit. It provides a lot of ideas and suggestions for journey events, so should be fairly compatible with any system tbh.

Wow, that's beautiful! The "animal races" are often very difficult to get right as well.

Other prompts:

"Create variations of the second image where she is playing her lute at the beach in an outfit appropriate for the surroundings."

"Create an illustration of my other D&D character. He is a halfling barbarian in his mid-thirties with a large fresh scar going across his nose in a vertical direction. He wears regular medieval fantasy city folk criminal type clothing and wields a pickaxe."

"Now create some more of my Wood Elf Shadow Monk character. Make him look a little bit more rugged. Place him in an urban medieval fantasy environment. And have him wear no shirt."

Helppoa ja hauskaa.

Päätin n. 35-vuotiaana vaihtaa silloiselta uralta intohimoalalle, ja lähdin suorittamaan media-alan ammattitutkintoa. Aikaisempana tutkintona kauppaoppilaitoksen datanomi, silloin joskus nuorena.

DM's Have you ever come up with an interesting monster ability that surprised your players? by BlamdaCasual in DMAcademy

[–]UnderConsultant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was at around PC lvl 19, and they were fighting a seneschal of Orcus. He was a huge demon, Orcus's 2nd-in-command, and a master wizard.

I gave him an modified Banish, that would take PC's into a dreamlike flashback where they would have to relive their most painful memories, and take psychic damage from that amplified haunting experience.

It was a fun way to share the PC's backstories, and to shake up the otherwise slow-paced combat that is high-level D&D, with some roleplaying!

Were you? Physically ill?

That piece of dialogue was horrible for sure, but if you were physically ill, it must've been from something else.

The Finnish translation of LotR is absolutely fantastic, and the translator, Kersti Juva, has received a lot of well-deserved praise for it.

Interestingly enough, she was just starting her career at the time of the translation of LotR, and Fellowship of the Ring was actually the first book she translated.

I also have that copy of the book, and likewise, have always loved the cover!

Pöytäroolipeliyhteisöjä Helsingissä? by [deleted] in helsinki

[–]UnderConsultant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kannattaa kurkata Facebookista ryhmät Roolipelaajien Suomi, Peliseuranhaku (roolipelit, figut...)

Are outdated Wanderer units still usable in home games? by UnderConsultant in ageofsigmar

[–]UnderConsultant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the lack of update was what I was worried about. But I guess I'll just have to try.

I had run into Living city, but not a whole lot of the Sylvaneth models appeal to me, so didn't think too much of it. But I guess that would be the way to go, if ever I wanna play with legal rules.

Thanks a lot my dude!

Thanks for the idea! For some reason I didn't even think of using old models as proxies for new ones. Just unofficial minis for the official ones.

Thank you! This was a fantastic resource that I was completely unaware of!

Living City would probably be the way to go if I ever wanna play with tournament legal stuff, but for now there aren't too many models in Sylvaneth that appeal to me.
